When Mercedes-Benz designed and built this 2006 Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG the decided that enough is never enough, at least for the power-mongers who toil at AMG, the performance division of Mercedes-Benz. The AMG plant threw everything into the performance equation when they stuffed a Twin-Turbocharged V12 with 604 Horsepower and 738 lb-ft of Torque under the hood of this monster! Power flows to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission equipped with SpeedShift manual controls. Huge internally ventilated and cross-drilled brakes with fixed Eight-Piston Front Calipers; larer staggered AMG twin-spoke alloy wheels with performance-grade rubber; and suspension tweaks accompany the massive infusion of horsepower and torque. The standard Active Body Control (ABC) is calibrated specifically for the S65 AMG, and the steering is more responsive for greater precision. Stability control and brake assist are an integral part of the package to ensure that even the most talented drivers don't get in too far over their heads. If you need more power than this you might want to go see a psychologist! Mercedes-Benz engineered the S65 to be the worlds fastest sedan. To date, I haven't seen anything else come close! And with $8k in options, this isn't even close to being a base car! This car is considered "Hard Loaded" with incredible optional equipment such as a push-button keyless go starter, automatic cruise control (distronic), electronic rear seatbacks, active ventilated & heated seats for the front & rear, parktronic and Sirius satellite radio!
