Vehicle Detail

For sale is a 1967 Plymouth Barracuda Fastback/high price option (RARE orig AC car with PS). Orig 273 manual has been replaced by Monster 408 Stroker motor professionally built by famous local race builders Bruce and Dave Ward of Engine Assembly in Rochester. Details are as follows: -1973 LA 360 block decked, squared, align honed, bored .030” over, and block painted in the road-less-traveled Chrysler blue (later date codes, to match the engine’s actual 70s pedigree) -Eagle STEEL 4.00” stroker crank, Eagle FORGED rods and 9.5 compression FORGED dished pistons. -2800-3100 Dacco stall converter. -Dual plane intake (for max low end torque) -Iron J heads had chambers machined and matched for identical flow, -Brand new Holley/Summit 750cfm 4bbl. Carb, -Brand new Full tube Hedman Hedders. -New Milodon low profile 8qt street/strip pan, windage tray, -New Melling High-volume oil pump with oversized pickup, -New mechanical water pump ... KILLER STROKER. Est. 450 HP / 500 lb. ft. torque. -Engine bay hand stripped to bare metal, a small hole patched, primed and repainted in satin black Recently added during the reassembly and break in process was a Painless wiring harness, new battery, brand new high ratio gear reduction starter (needed to crank the monster). “Breakaway” racing-spec rebuilt 904 automatic transmission with HD parts. It’s basically as bulletproof as a 727, but with 40 lbs less bulk and half the operating friction. All is matched to a 3.55 geared sure-grip 8 ¾ rear. The drivetrain alone is worth $8000 and brand new from flywheel to tranny. New 205/70/14 white letter tires mounted on 14x6 Rallye rims all around. Body is solid, complete, no damage. Minor dings you’d expect from being driven. One paint crack, near the heater intake vent, and some oxidation along the roof drip rail valleys. New windshield trim is included (not installed) All trim and emblems are on the car, with the exception of the decklid trim piece, which is a new repop and included. Interior is good. Orig. white vinyl split benches are fair/good- some seams splits. Original factory belts. Original radio not in car. Functional Rallye dash includes factory “performance indicator” gauge and rare for ’67 150mph dial speedo. Column mounted Sunpro tach. Dash cover needs work, recovering as sun damage to the top has taken its toll. It currently has an aftermarket Just Dashes dash cap nicely hiding the issues. Unfortunately, a previous owner hacked up the radio plate for an aftermarket stereo, so a new dash bezel is also in order. Paint is showing its age, but still looks good from 10 feet. You could go either way with this one, making it into a racer or finishing it off as a cruiser/show car. I’ve got $15,000 into it in the last year alone. I’m selling because I am purchasing a second home and am cashing out my car project for a house project. This project has been a blast, and I will miss it. Please note that all sales are binding and final. The Barracuda is being sold “as-is” with no warranty expressed or implied. Please carefully read the terms & conditions of the sale before bidding. Winning this auction does not entitle you to come inspect the car and decide if you want to buy it, but obligates you to complete the purchase! The car is available for inspection during the auction period. A $1000 non-refundable deposit is due with-in 48 hours from the auction end and the balance is due with-in 7 days unless another arrangement has been agreed upon. I will not accept Paypal for this transaction. Bring cash or wire payment before you pick it up or send the shipper. Certified check is possible, but car doesn’t move until funds clear. I can refer buyer to a great, fast, and inexpensive shipping company (though I can only speak of past satisfaction and expressly do not guarantee future satisfaction) , but all costs of that are to be paid by the buyer. This car is being shown locally, so I reserve the right to cancel the auction at any time. On Sep-30-10 at 10:10:47 PDT, seller added the following information: Please note: NY does not issue titles for 1972 and older cars. Car had a clear KS title when I bought it.
