Vehicle Detail
1971 AMC SC/Hornet 360 V-8 4-Speed Manual Transmission. The SC/Hornet is a very rare car, and if you are into AMC's then you probably know, and if you're not then do a little searching on the web. There were 784 of these cars made for the 1971 model year and even a smaller amount left in the world. This SC/Hornet is painted in the very desirable Matador Red, and is also indicated by the door placard. This is the original color, motor, and transmission to this car. The body is in exceptional condition. The car was restored a few years ago and was painted, the motor was rebuilt, the exhaust was replaced and the interior was refreshed. It is a very clean and original car. The engine starts right up, and rumbles like any classic muscle car should. The previous owner picked a low mileage, well cared for SC/Hornet to restore, and it is believed that the mileage is original at 51,435. The car is in extremely good condition, it is not a trailer queen, but it will certainly impress. I'll let the photo's speak for themselves. If you are a serious buyer, then please inquire and I'll be happy to talk over the phone or email. Please check my other auctions for a great selection of AMC parts and cars. Thank You I currently have a set of 1971 AMC Color and Upholstery Dealer Showroom Album and a 1971 AMC Data Book Dealer Showroom Album listed for auction. Thank YouOn Sep-26-10 at 10:20:43 PDT, seller added the following information: PLEASE NOTE: If you are a serious bidder, please send me your email and I'll send you a picture of the VIN. I was going to take a picture of the door placard, but it was removed during the restoration and is missing. I was promised the original parts would be included in the purchase, but was only given the air filter tub and intake. The reserve price has been significantly lowered because of the missing placard and other non-original equipment. I will do my best in communicating with serious bidders, so please email me a phone number or ask for mine. I am getting out of the hobby and I do not expect to get what I have into this car. I am looking to find a good home for this car, as with my other listings. So please ask questions before you bid and buy, and not after the car has been delivered. I don't want you to be unhappy with your purchase. Thank YouOn Sep-29-10 at 13:29:26 PDT, seller added the following information: I posted a video of the car on the web site You Tube. Just do a search for 2009sellinstuff 1971 SC/Hornet and you can see and hear the car running. Thanks
