Vehicle Detail
Last year of the desirable steel dash cars with steel wheels. This one spent most of its life in Florida. I bought it from a fellow who had it stored and not running. After getting it home it started up after about 20 minutes of tinkering. The not do good stuff is as follows: some rust but not nearly as bad as the typical MG of this year. The left dog leg needs replaced. I have the replacement panel. The bottom of the right front fender needs some attention. Couple of other small places. Floors and sill solid. Top not so good. I put one on that I had off another car. It will keep the rain mostly off but that's about it. Interior usable but well worn. Carpet shot, door panels just okay. Dash crash pad ripped but I have new one for car. Bad paint. originally BRG, now red. I replaced the original deck lid with one off another car due to the other being sprung. Speedo not working. I have cable but have not tried it yet. Tach dances some. The seats are correct for car but are white. I had them redone and they sit well. I have the original seat covers. They could be used on these frames if one wanted. Most chrome good. I have replaced the brake and clutch master cylinders, all new front brakes. This includes hoses, calipers, pads, rotors. New rack boots and tie rod ends. New tires. New water valve, new tune up stuff. The car runs well. Engine sounds good. Good clutch and brakes. Basically this is a reliable driver needing at least a cosmetic restoration. Good winter project as mechanically it is sound. Car is for sale locally and may be removed from auction if sold. Please email me for phone number to ask questions or discuss car. On Sep-26-10 at 10:08:26 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had several questions about the car so I will try to answer them to the best of my ability. The interior as I had listed is all there just worn as it is pretty much the original. The door panels are just okay. The carpet on the transmission tunnel worn. Mats are usable. The steel wheels balanced okay with the new tires. They need painting. As noted it will need the left dog leg panel and the right lower front fender repaired. There are a couple of other small places. The right door has a place and the right dog leg has some bubbles coming through it on the very bottom. I have both dog leg repair panels which I will include in the sale to the high bidder. The hood is steel not aluminum. Any other questions please ask!
