This car is good for AMC collectors (great as a parts car) or the serious classic car restorer. Car has many good, original AMC parts, both body and mechanical, including a 5-speed, T5 transmission. The body is intact. Transfer case, engine, rear are all in working condition. Clutch was replaced and has about 3000 miles on it. The undercarriage has considerable rust, especially brake and gas lines, gas tank, exhaust system, and oil pan. The front windshield is cracked. Although the engine does start and car can move, it has been sitting basically idle in my driveway for the past two years. Because of the condition of the car, it would have to be flat bedded if being moved a considerable distance. For a local move, you might be able to get away with towing or a dolley, but the car is not sound enough to be driven away. I bought the car in Maryland in 2001 with 197,410 miles. Since then, the car has been registered in NJ up until about the two years ago when I stopped using it because it became too time consuming and costly to keep up with repairs and maintenance. The current odometer reading is 213,758 miles.
