1969 Honda

This 1969 Honda Z50K Mini Trail can be one of two things for you: 1) A collectors item that you display in your shop/garage/dealership/man cave, or 2) a classic, trail-ready bike. We bought this machine when we moved to the country back in 1970, and Dad cleared trails through our property so we could put it to good use. It sat inactive for over 25 years until I decided to pull it out of storage. I changed the oil, added some fuel, set the choke and it started on the 3rd kick. Incredible! This Mini Trail is ALL ORIGINAL! Only two modifications. It has not been restored or repainted. I have the original title. In fact, everything is original, including: Seat, with no cracks Tires, with plenty of tread remaining Paint is excellent, but there are some chips on the front forks. Grips Fenders Ignition key Title The modifications: In a quest for more power, we had our local Honda dealer install a kit that increased the engine displacement from 49cc to 68cc. We replaced the original air filter with a larger, foam-type for better dust filtration. A better cleaner, but not original and I can't find that one anywhere. I have seen Honda-brand cleaners on eBay for $15 or so. The head and taillights work sporadically, so they need some attention, but I did take the Mini Trail to the local Honda dealer and had them rework the brakes, install a new battery, perform full tune-up service, etc. to the tune of $226. I have the receipt if you would like to see it. Also, the carburetor was cleaned this week by my Harley-riding mechanic buddy. She's running fine now (the bike, not the mechanic). Here's the deal. I have set the reserve at what I think is a reasonable amount. Truth is, I could probably make more money by parting it out, but I can't bear to do that. Shipping will be the responsibility of the buyer, but I will have the bike crated and delivered to a local (zip code 65109) truck line for $150. This Z50 needs to be where it is appreciated and not stuck over in the corner of my garage. Besides, I need a new set of golf clubs. Let me know if you have any questions.
