Vehicle Detail
Thanks for looking at this classic Dump Truck. I'm pretty sure it started life as a state highway plow truck and ended up in private hands doing the jobs other trucks can't handle. I've used it to move materials around my property and I've completed my projects so I'd like to give someone else a chance with this old iron. The truck is powered by a 292cid V-8 with a 3 Barrel Holley, a 5 speed manual transmission and the full time 4 wheel drive has low range and lock. A electric fuel pump has been installed but the original pump is still on the engine. The left fuel tank was removed when the wet kit was installed - yes it's a hydraulic lifting system now. It doesn't have power steering but when rolling it steers as light as a feather but there is some play. List of whats wrong/broken/missing: battery is bad, I'm jump starting it with a little booster pack with no problems clutch is engaging at top of stroke the single line brakes work, the vacuum booster is functional but I have added brake fluid in the past, I just can't see a leak the left front brake line is disconnected from the wheel, when plowing at high speed it was done to prevent swearing into oncoming traffic the front wheel seals leak control knobs/handles are missing and cables switches might be frozen, various seals are bad - door, heater to body, etc. the right door is missing the outer door lock button and the window is cracked the vacuum wiper motors are missing windshield is scratched from wiper arms the hydraulic dump bed needs a new liner or replacement there are widow maker rims on the left inner dual and right outer dual - all the others are solid. I doubt the speedometer is correct various rust issues and I'm not sure what else is a problem. This truck is prime for a restoration, it's also suitable for use as a captive vehicle if you need something rugged and tough. No matter how you choose to use it will require work to be usable so I want to stress that this is an "As Is Sale".
