Beautiful original (not restored) 1941 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible Coupe. Recognized by Classic Car Club of America as a full classic and Antique Automobile Club of America registered as Historically Preserved Original Features (HPOF). The AACA established HPOF so that not all cars would be restored and then these cars could be used as a standard to make sure all others are “correct” in their restored features. The mostly original paint is a presentable McKinley Gray. The interior is original red leather (reportedly the front seat came from a different car, but looks original and matches perfectly) and replacement wool carpet. The power convertible top was replaced in the early 1960’s, looks presentable and works perfectly. Mechanically, the Cadillac runs fantastic, cruises at highway speed with no problem. As far as I can tell, the engine has never been apart. 1941 was the first year for an automatic transmission in a Cadillac. This Hydra-Matic transmission was rebuilt about 500 miles ago and works perfectly. While in my possession the Cad has always been serviced correctly and anything that needed replacing or repair was corrected. I cannot confirm that the mileage is actually 56,000 original miles, as presented by last owners back to 1961, but by the condition of the vehicle it is very believable. Also, there is no sign of rust or accident damage or repair anywhere on the vehicle. This convertible runs and drives very smooth and tight, as you would expect from a low mileage, well cared for original. Look at the pictures…the perfect original fender skirts with mint Cadillac Medallions, factory mounted fog lights. It would be very doubtful if not impossible to find an original 1941 Cadillac convertible in this original condition. You are welcomed and encouraged to come and inspect this car before you bid.
