Here is a beautiful 1978 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz in great condition inside and out. This car is a pristine example of the rare "Eldorado Biarritz Classic" edition and is one of only 1,499 non-sunroof versions built. The other 500 had Astroroofs and one had ultra rare power T-Tops totaling just 2,000 units. All of the Classic editions were produced between May and July of 1978. The cars were painted Arizona Beige at the Cadillac plant and shipped up the street to ASC (American Sunroof Corp) where they had the special Demitasse Brown section as well as the special small window vinyl top added. The cars also had special two-tone interiors, leather wrapped wheel, and even a small plaque on the dash that let everyone know this is a "Classic" edition! This car has lived its whole life in in two private Cadillac collections, and always babied. Its first owner Mr Monk was an elderly gentleman from Frankenmuth, MI who absolutely babied this car. The car was brought to Tucson, AZ in 2000 when Mr. Monk retired and relocated. He owned the car from when ordered new until the car was purchased by the second and most recent owner in 2005 with only 19,000mi. The second owner purchased it and took it back home to Las Vegas, where he drove it only about 7,000mi over the last 5 years. During that time he did some mechanical upkeep and always had it garaged. This car was purchased new at McKay Cadillac in Oscoda, MI and had an MSRP of nearly $15,500 all the way back in 1978 with the rare "Classic" option adding $2,400 to the price tag! The exterior on the car is absolutely stunning. There is no color more striking on these cars than Arizona Beige/Demitasse Brown with the Tan Biarritz top and stainless trim. Remember this paint looks very good but is original and is 33 years old so there are some small flaws like very small chips, a few dings, and small scuffs. The car is a solid car, and with the low miles you don't have to worry about any rust whatsoever. The tan vinyl top is original and in excellent condition and still very soft. All of the plastic end caps and bumper fillers are in excellent, crack-free, original condition as well. All trim is perfect and still has its original gold-plated Biarritz emblems and opera lights. The exterior of the car is absolutely immaculate and looks as good as the day it rolled off the lot. It is riding on the original color matched hubcaps with period-correct radial white walls. The interior is completely original in exceptional condition. The pillow-top leather seats are in great shape and have no tares or rips and no ware at all on the drivers seat. The dash and all door panels are beautiful and crack free besides two small cracks on passenger, upper panel. The steering wheel has the original leather wrap and nice crack free wood grain insert. The seats looks like it has never been sat in. The 8-Track works great and still sounds very good. All gauges and lights work correctly, even the cruise control and original clock work great! Also the original tan Cadillac floor mats are present and in nice shape. The A/C blows ice cold and the compressor has been recently replaced. The trunk is also very nice original condition and has the original space saver tire as well as all jacking equipment and tools. The original instruction stickers are also in place under the trunk lid. The power trunk assist also functions correctly. Mechanically, this Cadillac runs GREAT! This car features the 425ci Cadillac V8, which really moves this boat. As I said before this car has been maintained religiously by the previous owner. Under the hood is very clean and detailed and just had a full repaint and professional detail undertaken and looks very good. At that time new plugs, rotor, cap, wires, and gaskets were also installed. The car is also tight as a drum and has no fluid leaks. The car tracks straight and rides just like a Cadillac should! The car includes one set of original keys with a nice Don Massey Cadillac keychain, which is where it was serviced in Ann Arbor, MI. Also included are all original manual and several thousand in receipts from recent mechanical work including complete new A/C system, drive axles, battery, rear shocks, muffler, and all original fluids and drive belts replaced! All in all, this is one very nice 1978 Eldorado. It has been professionally maintained and truly loved by its previous owners. These 70's era Cadillac vehicles are becoming more and more collectible as the older ones disappear into collections, especially well maintained low mileage western cars like this example.
