Vehicle Detail

For sale is a red 1981 Chevy Camaro Z28 with rare T-Tops. I purchased this car about a year ago and have learned that I don't have the space or know how to work on these older cars. Cosmetically the exterior of the car is beautiful, I had the Camaro painted nearly a year ago. This paint job was about $2000 and the car was already primed (I should have a receipt, although I would need to double check). The wheels of the car where painted the same color as the car to give it a very stock look. The body is straight and I've been told there is no bondo. I believe there is some very very minor rusting about the size of a quarter on the front passenger side panel, although I haven't looked at the car under a lift for some time. The car has a new battery, windshield, rear tires, and radiator fans/wiring. The interior has black and tan custom leather that looks very nice. The console in the picture isn't in great condition and isn't bolted into place. The interior could use some restoration to look great! Sadly, I know very little about the specs of the car. It does have a 350 engine and turbo 350 transmission with B&M shift kit. The mileage on the title reads 57911, although the odometer has not been working. Since owning the Camaro I would guess I've put less than 1200 to 1500 miles on the car. The previous owner drag raced the car and it has been highly modified. My mechanic informed me that the car has a racing camshaft, alternator, B&M shift kit, ceramic headers, exhaust, and manifold. The car originally had a manual transmission and the pedal is still installed in the car. The clutch must be pushed down to start the car. The car has no horn, wipers aren't working (easy fix, I think) heating, AC, or sound system. The Camaro is having some transmission issues. Reverse is not working and the car doesn't shift very smoothly in drive. The transmission is also leaking fluid. It appears that the transmission needs to be replaced or rebuilt, although I'm not sure. The engine makes a clicking sound and I believe a gasket needs to be replaced (but I'm not sure). When turning off the engine there is a shifting noise (sometimes), although I have no idea what is causing the sound. Overall the car is cosmetically beautiful with very nice paint (There is one chip on the hood). The car hasn't been washed for a while so the pictures don't truly give it justice. With some power train and interior work the car will be great! Expect to tow this car to it's new home due to the transmission. I will do my best to answer questions but as I said before I know very little about the cars specs. Please don't bid if you don't plan on purchasing the car!!! Happy Bidding!
