Vehicle Detail

I am the second owner of this vehicle, having purchased it when it was just three years old. I had it serviced for many years at "The Factory" in Marina Del Rey, Beverly Hills Porsche, and Steve Taub Porsche in Santa Monica. I do not have the service records, as they were destroyed along with our vacation home in the slide fire in October of 2007. The car has never had a major problem. I had the right chain housing replaced in 1995, and other than that, a synthetic oil change every 3,000 miles was all it ever needed. I purchased a new 911 in 2003, and intended to keep them both running. But in 2008, my wife and I had a son and these cars are not particularly baby friendly. The 911 has been garage stored for the past three years. I start it every week and drive it a few miles just to keep everything circulating. Other than that, I am no longer getting any use out of the vehicle. The interior leather is in excellent condition. It was always maintained with the highest quality leather conditioners. If the car was parked outside with the top down, I always used the full toneau cover to completely guard all the leather from the sun. There are no cracks in the leather and it practically looks new. In 2007, the carpeting was replaced as it was dingy and in need of a face lift. The carpet was done by Anziano's Porsche in Anaheim and is authentic and looks fantastic right now. It has never been shampood or vleaned with any chemical. The Cabriolet top was recanvassed in 2001 by Robbins Auto Top in Santa Monica. The canvas is German. The rear window is in need of replacement as it is starting to for/brown around the edges. The paint color is Crimson, and looks good. It is 24 years old and would benefit from being clear coated to bring it back to a deeper lustre. But the pictures are representative of what the paint looks like, and if you don't need it to look like it just rolled off the assembly line, you would really not need to repaint the vehicle. I love this car. Have always loved this car. And it pains me to sell it. But it is not realistic to own three 2-seaters when one has a child, so here is my Porsche offered for sale. No one ever smoked in the vehicle (or ate or drank anything for that matter). Payment is due at the end of the auction. If you need to delay picking it up, a deposit of 25% of the purchase price is required. I will accompany the new owner to DMV and finish the title transfer.
