With the Forester, Subaru offers a no-nonsense mini-SUV for those who need the versatility of a small wagon with the grip of all-wheel drive (AWD). The Forester's platform is comprised of previous-generation Legacy and Impreza components. This is mostly a good thing, as the Forester rides and handles like a car, not a clumsy truck, and gets gas mileage that won't have you going broke or feeling guilty about rapidly depleting our finite fuel supply. The downside of the Forester's architecture is that it's not meant for hard-core off-road duty, which will probably be a non-issue for 99 percent of the people who would consider purchasing one. Tackling poor-weather driving conditions and getting to the campground or mountain bike trailhead are what the Forester is geared for. This forester comes with Subaru's 2.5-liter flat four that pumps out substantially more power than its competitors' four-bangers and even more ponies than some other mini-SUVs' V6s. A fully independent suspension contributes to the Forester's agility, as does a lower center of gravity than most of its rivals, such as the Honda CR-V and Suzuki Grand Vitara. Safety conscious consumers will be pleased to find that in the offset crash test (arguably the most realistic scenario in a collision), the Forester scored the highest rating in its class. The exterior of this is great. It is free and clear from any significant damages. Neither are there any significant scratches, there might be a few small ones but nothing that shouldn't be able to be buffed out. The paint is still shiny and all original.The interior is in great condition and appears to indicate that the previous owner was a non-smoker. The seats are in great condition with no rips, tears, stains, and/or smells. The carpets are also in great condition. The engine runs great and idles as it should. There are no problems at all with the drive train. Brakes are good with great tracking and no shuttering. The car drives smoothly. Tires I would rate as 40% but do look at the pictures and make your own assessment. Please Be Advised: As all of our auctions, this is an AS-IS wholesale auction. There are the typical stone chips on the hood, front bumper and fenders. The rear bumper has a scrape/scratch on the left side that has been touched-up. There are a few light dings on the left and right side of the car. The right front fender has a few scratches towards the right of the wheel well that appear to have been sprayed. These cosmetic flaws can be seen in the photohraphs. They can be addressed or ignored by the new owner. They do not take away from how nice this Forester truely is. FLORIDA Location Buyers:If you purchase a vehicle from our Florida location, the vehicle must be paid in full prior to pick-up. Full payment must clear through our NY office. You cannot pay in full at time of pick-up. As soon as the funds clear, the title will be sent via Express mail and the vehicle will be released for pick-up. You are looking at a 2004 Subaru Forester XS AWD!
With the Forester, Subaru offers a no-nonsense mini-SUV for those who need the versatility of a small wagon with the grip of all-wheel drive (AWD). The Forester's platform is comprised of previous-generation Legacy and Impreza components. This is mostly a good thing, as the Forester rides and handles like a car, not a clumsy truck, and gets gas mileage that won't have you going broke or feeling guilty about rapidly depleting our finite fuel supply. The downside of the Forester's architecture is that it's not meant for hard-core off-road duty, which will probably be a non-issue for 99 percent of the people who would consider purchasing one. Tackling poor-weather driving conditions and getting to the campground or mountain bike trailhead are what the Forester is geared for.
This forester comes with Subaru's 2.5-liter flat four that pumps out substantially more power than its competitors' four-bangers and even more ponies than some other mini-SUVs' V6s. A fully independent suspension contributes to the Forester's agility, as does a lower center of gravity than most of its rivals, such as the Honda CR-V and Suzuki Grand Vitara.
Safety conscious consumers will be pleased to find that in the offset crash test (arguably the most realistic scenario in a collision), the Forester scored the highest rating in its class.
The exterior of this is great. It is free and clear from any significant damages. Neither are there any significant scratches, there might be a few small ones but nothing that shouldn't be able to be buffed out. The paint is still shiny and all original.
The interior is in great condition and appears to indicate that the previous owner was a non-smoker. The seats are in great condition with no rips, tears, stains, and/or smells. The carpets are also in great condition.
The engine runs great and idles as it should. There are no problems at all with the drive train. Brakes are good with great tracking and no shuttering. The car drives smoothly. Tires I would rate as 40% but do look at the pictures and make your own assessment.
Please Be Advised: As all of our auctions, this is an AS-IS wholesale auction. There are the typical stone chips on the hood, front bumper and fenders. The rear bumper has a scrape/scratch on the left side that has been touched-up. There are a few light dings on the left and right side of the car. The right front fender has a few scratches towards the right of the wheel well that appear to have been sprayed. These cosmetic flaws can be seen in the photohraphs. They can be addressed or ignored by the new owner. They do not take away from how nice this Forester truely is. Overall the vehicle is in great condition for its age and mileage.

Vehicle Inspection: We welcome and encourage potential buyers to inspect the vehicle but such inspections MUST be conducted prior to completion of this auction. This vehicle is available for inspection at any reasonable time. If you choose to have the inspection done by a licensed professional, you must do so at your own expense. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have thoroughly inspected the vehicle, and to have satisfied himself or herself as to the condition and value based solely upon that judgment. Furthermore, it will be assumed that you have inspected this vehicle fully if you have placed the bid.
Timing: The time to evaluate, to determine and to decide is during the course of the auction. The conclusion of the auction is the time to pay. Being the high bidder does not mean you have been awarded the opportunity to "think about it" or to "get back with us." It means that you have entered a LEGAL binding agreement to purchase this vehicle immediately following the conclusion of the auction and that you have the funds to do so.
Financing: If you are planning to finance this vehicle through a lending institution, you must secure the loan prior to bidding. Secure all finances and be able to follow through with the payment before you bid. Most banks and credit unions do not finance vehicles older than 1995 or with more than 100K miles. We do not provide financing on any of our vehicles.
No Reserve Auctions: By bidding on this vehicle you are entering into a legally binding contract. If you bid on this vehicle, that means you agree to abide by all of our terms and conditions. If at the end of the auction you are the highest bidder, you have won this vehicle.
Warranty: Unless stated otherwise, this vehicle is being sold “as is” and where is with all faults and possible defects. After the transaction is complete, we will not be responsible for vehicle failures or any cost of repairs. No representations or warranties are made by seller, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of title or implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Nor are any representations or warranties relied upon by bidders in making bids. We are not the first owners of this vehicle and therefore cannot guarantee history, condition, reliability, mileage, title, function or performance of the vehicle. You are only buying what we have. Manufacturer’s warranties may still apply. An extended warranty may also be available. Please contact us for details.
Vehicle Transportation: Buyer is responsible for shipping and/or pickup of the vehicle. All shipping charges are the buyer’s responsibility. We will not be responsible in any way for claims arising from shipping damage. Shipping companies have insurance policies that protect buyers against damage. If you choose to pickup the vehicle yourself, we can meet you at our local airport. This service is free of charge. However, we do require advance notice. Please allow a few days for paperwork to be ready. Please do not expect the car to be ready for pick-up the day after the auction. We need to prepare the paperwork so allow a few days for this.
Payment Information: If you are the winning bidder, you must contact us within 24 hours of winning the auction to set up payment arrangements. We require a $500 non-refundable deposit within twenty-four (24) hours of winning the auction. This deposit should be made through PayPal. If the deposit is not received within the required timeframe and alternative arrangements are not made, we reserve the right to make the vehicle available for sale to another buyer. The remaining balance is due within five to seven days of making the deposit. You must fax us your state issued driver’s license after you make the deposit. As final payment for the vehicle, we will accept a certified bank check, bank loan check, wire transfer, or cash-in-person. Checks must be paid payable to ‘Advanced Auto Brokers’. Paypal is generally not an acceptable form of full payment, however exceptions can be made, please contact us for details on this. We will not release the vehicle and/or title until funds clear. If you pay cash, you can pickup the vehicle immediately. If you pay by wire transfer the vehicle will be available for pickup once funds are available in our account. If you pay by bank check, you will have to wait, nine (9) business days until the funds clear, for title. If payment is made using a check we will hold all vehicles and titles for nine (9) days or until the funds clear.
FLORIDA Location Buyers: If you purchase a vehicle from our Florida location, the vehicle must be paid in full prior to pick-up. Full payment must clear through our NY office. You cannot pay in full at time of pick-up. As soon as the funds clear, the title will be sent via Express mail and the vehicle will be released for pick-up.
Bidder’s Age: You must be 18 years of age or older to bid.
Storage Terms: Once a vehicle has been paid for in full, we will store it free of charge for ten (10) calendar days and at nineteen ($19) dollars per day after that.
Liquidated Damages: The only acceptable reason for cancellation is a misrepresentation of goods sold. Should this case arise, a local independent arbitrator will be summoned to satisfy all parties concerned. Failure to comply with terms will result in a $350 Sur Charge this pays for fees and for interest on the money tied up. Non-paying bidders will be reported to E-bay and the Credit Bureau!
Choice of Law & Forum: Buyer agrees that in the event any dispute shall arise, it will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York and litigated in Richmond County. By bidding on this auction buyer consents to service by certified mail.
Miscellaneous: We reserve the right to obtain and verify the registered information of all users who bid on this auction. We reserve the right to cancel any and all bids at our discretion and end the auction early in the event the vehicle is sold prior to the end of the auction, we shall not be held liable for such cancellations.
PLEASE be advised: You are bidding on a pre-owned vehicle. This vehicle has been previously driven and has been subject to normal wear and tear, both cosmetically and mechanically. A used car will show signs of use such as: minor scratches, door dings, and minor wear; this is from being on the road. Nothing is showroom condition unless it is driven directly off of a showroom floor. If you want to save yourself 1000’s of dollars, this is the way to go. We attempt to disclose any necessary and KNOWN flaws in the condition report. We describe all vehicles as accurately as possible. However, there is no possible way to include all minute details and imperfections!
Fee and Tax Information: We are a NYS registered dealership, New York State Residents will have to pay tax on their purchase to us. By paying your tax to us you will not have to pay at the DMV. NY residents are responsible for title transfer, inspection, and registration fee & license plate tag fees.
Out-of-state buyers will pay tax to their DMV in their own city.
There is a $295 service fee for ALL buyers; yes, dealers pay them as well. A three (3) day temporary tag is included in this fee.

Advanced Auto Brokers gets its cars from a variety of sources. Our cars are almost always franchise dealership trade-ins and/or lease returns. We have relationships with over 100 dealerships and brokers and buy only the highest quality pre-owned cars. A typical scenario is one in which a dealer obtains a car through a trade-in and that dealer is neither a specialist or is not allowed to sell a particular make of car. They call us, (we are not a local competitor), and we purchase the vehicle from them and make the car available online to a national market.
Can I have the car mechanically inspected?
It is our absolute mission for you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase. Advanced Auto Brokers allows full pre-buy inspection of all its vehicles from any inspection service you desire. Advanced Auto Brokers recommends 'The Auto Critic' for thorough and honest inspections, if you cannot personally do so. We also offer extended warranties.
What can I expect from my purchase?
You can expect great service, a great price and an impeccable car. We aim to describe the car as accurate as possible. We do offer only pre-owned vehicles and by definition our vehicles are not brand new. Most of our offerings are equal to first line vehicles sold in reputable franchised dealerships across the country. In fact, many of these dealers buy our inventory only to turn around and sell it at much higher prices. It is important when buying a used vehicle to understand that it is not brand new - it has been driven a certain number of miles.
I am out-of-town, how will I get the car?
Advanced Auto Brokers uses a fully bonded and insured transportation service that will deliver the vehicle to your door. The transport usually takes about a 10 days and costs varies depending on your location. Our transporter does offer extremely great rates; making it more cost efficient to have it transported if you are a distant customer. We also welcome you to come to us!
