you are looking at a 1985 vw jetta turbo diesel. The car does not currently run. The engine did run before i pulled it, but there was a ton of blow by so the engine will need to be rebuilt. both the engine and trans are out of the vehicle so it will need to be towed. trans shifted smooth, the whole car ran nice and was fun to drive for a while. turbo is in great condition, spooled nicely. vacuum pump worked good, brakes were good, a/c was cold. the clutch did grab, but you'll probably want to replace it while everything is out. i drove this car to FL and even with the blow by was averaging 50mpg highway, i wouldnt be surprised to see 52/53 mpg on a good flat highway. it will need tires and probably brake pads/rotors. it's been sitting for a while. the tires will hold air, but after a few days the fronts go flat. I was planning to fix it and use it to travel, but i just dont have time for all these projects anymore. it does not have cruise control or power windows/locks. i did buy an aftermarket cruise control system that i was going to install on the vehicle if you're interested in it..it does not come included with the final sales price. i'd rather part the vehicle than sell it for less than it's listed, i know i could get that price just by selling the trans and scrapping the body alone. if you are local and would like to come see it in person, feel free to email me and we'll set up a time. i'll try to answer as many questions as i can, thanks for looking.
