Up for auction today is a great running 1988 Chevrolet 1500 truck. It is in great shape considering that it is over twenty years old! I just drove it over 100 miles continuously and it ran like a champ! It drives down the road nice and strait! It doesn't pull to either side of the road. It drives smooth without any vibrations or rattling of any kind. Mechanically it is great. On my recent trip it held great oil pressure and never overheats. It just got a new belt, new plugs, wires, distributor and air filter. The engine starts every time and runs very smooth. The transmission is in great shape and shifts smooth, too. The brakes stop the truck well. The tires have decent tread on them. You can see that this truck has factory alloy wheels which give it a nice look. The engine is clean and free of leaks from what I can see. On the outside there is a small amount of rust but nothing out of the ordinary for the year. There is some rust on each of the rear fenders and a little rust on each of the cab corners and a little bit under the drivers door but that's it! Under the bedliner there is absolutely no rust on the bed of the truck! The paint has some scratches and has faded a little but it's not a bad looking truck for its age. The inside of the cab is incredibly clean! It looks like the owner took very good care of it!..There are no cracks on the dash and there is still the book in the glove box! There is a seat cover over the factory seat but not to hide a horrible looking seat...take off the seat cover and you will find a blue bench seat in perfect condition! The radio works great and the speakers sound great. It is equipped with air conditioning but it doesn't work anymore. The compressor spins so it may just need refrigerant. Like I said, overall it is a great old truck. It rides solid without any shaking, rattling or wrestling. The engine runs great without any stalling, smoking or hesitation. This would make a great work truck or plow truck. It has a bumper and a frame hitch along with a brake controller. You should be able to hop in this truck and drive it anywhere. At 139,000 miles, this truck has lots more to give! Good luck bidding. Serious bidders only please.
