Vehicle Detail
Very nice Coupe DeVille. Uses no oil between oil changes. Has new 80,000 mile Discount Tire Arizonian radials. I bought this car when it had 59,000 miles on it and needed a few things. It needs nothing now. I had new rear brakes, including drums and wheel cylinders installed. I had new gas lines and brake lines front to rear installed. I had the entire car rusttproofed and undercoated by Tidy Car. It has a brand new A/C compressor and dryer and has been converted to R134 and blows icy cold. I had a new serpentine belt put on when the air compressor was replaced. It has had a tune up with new plugs, the transmission flushed with new fluid and filter, oil changed, and radiator flushed with new antifreeze. It has a new EGR valve. There are no lights on on the dash and it runs and drives perfect. It has no rust and is garaged. You won't find a nicer used Cadillac and the ride is superb. Everything works as it should. This car has power seats, trunk, and windows and has a plush leather interior. You see many of these cars on here with well over 200,000 miles. This car has a Rebuilt/Salvage title because it was stolen and the insurance company paid off on it when it was fairly new. This is a legal fully transferable title that is just like any other title except it says Rebuilt/Salvage. Every vehicle that has been paid off on by an insurance company gets a Rebuilt/Salvage title and must be fully inspected by a State agent before being put back on the road. This car has never been in any accidents. It comes with the original owners manual and the factory GM service manual. This is a great car and I hate to part with it, but I need a truck. This Cadillac can be driven anywhere. This car is my daily driver and whoever wins this auction will be getting a creampuff of a car at a real bargain price. On Sep-04-10 at 19:12:44 PDT, seller added the following information: Oh, and how do I know the history of this car and that it was stolen? The body shop that bought the car from the police auction in Bloomington, Illinois is here in town and I know the owner. The person that bought the car from the body shop and that I bought the car from lives here in town, also, and he bought the car with the Rebuilt/Salvage title from the body shop in 2004 when the car had 23,000 miles on it and he drove it to Texas and back twice. I bought the car in 2007 with 58,000 miles on it. The car needs nothing and is pristine and ready to go.On Sep-04-10 at 19:58:53 PDT, seller added the following information: I want to clarify the title issue that this car has. You'll note that this car does have a title issue with having a Rebuilt/Salvage title. Every car that has been totally paid off on by an insurance company gets a Salvage title. It then must be fully inspected by a State agent to be safe and ready for the road before it can get a Rebuilt/Salvage title in this State. This only has to be done once and has been, in 2004, on this car. You'll notice by the history report for this car that no accidents or damage has ever been recorded on this car. That's because there hasn't ever been any. It's just a title paperwork issue because this car was stolen from Chicago and ended up in Bloomington, Illinois and the insurance company paid the owner of the car in Chicago for the total loss of the car before the car was recovered and then sold at auction. I hope that helps with the title issue. On Sep-04-10 at 20:35:07 PDT, seller added the following information: A Rebuilt/Salvage title is fully transferable. It is handled just like any car title. I sign it off and you take it to Secretary of State office and pay taxes, buy plates and they give you the registration and then they will send you the title. The title then is in your name and will say on the title Rebuilt/Salvage. Any car paid off on by an insurance company and then put on the road will always have a Rebuilt/Salvage title no matter who owns the car and will always have a Rebuilt/Salvage title for the remaining life of the car. A Rebuilt/Salvage title lowers the value of the car. It affects a newer cars value much more than an olders cars value because of the much higher price that the new car is worth. On Sep-05-10 at 21:38:49 PDT, seller added the following information: NADA is a good web site for auto valuations, explanations of titles, and running vehicle history reports. I would rate, fairly, the condition of this car about halfway between average retail and high retail with a plus for the low mikeage and a minus for the title issue. I hope that helps.
