1951 Chevrolet Styleline Bel Air Coupe This is a rare car. This is the first year that Chevrolet produced the Bel Air. According to http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com/models/production.htm#52production only 103,356 were produced. That is an average of 2153 per state (only 48 states back then). So, after almost 60 years, there are not a lot of them around, let alone any that are in decent shape. This car resided in Cuba, as verified by the previous owner. It was shipped to Miami, FL, which is where it was when I purchased it. This is an older restoration. The interior is is great shape, and the windows are all fairly new. Paint is still in good shape. The stainless trim is in great shape, but the chrome grill and bumpers are not. The undercarriage was cleaned and painted at some point. According to NADAguides.com, a website used by title loan companies to determine the value of classic cars, this car is valued at between $8200 and $21,700, with an average price of $14,500 (see link below). The engine is a 235 6 cylinder. The powerglide transmission (see picture of powerglide logo on trunk) has been replaced with a 3 speed manual with a floor shifter. It starts, idles and runs great. This could be a top notch classic or street rod with very little time and money invested. Title Note: This car has a clear Florida title. However, I have not been able to locate it. I will continue to search. I have name and phone number of person that I purchased it from, and I will work with successful bidder to get a replacement title. I never started process to transfer title to my name or register in California. All title and registration fees will be the responsibility of Buyer. .
