Vehicle Detail
1980 International Harvester Scout II 345 V8 4X4 This Scout has been in my family for 23 years. I drove it to high school. It needs a lot of love right now. It was in storage, but now is sitting outside. I really wanted to fix it up, but I had major dental work done and now I have to move across the country soon so I have to sell my Scout. It does run. Kind of. It has sat for a while, but once it starts it idles pretty good. It is not ready to be driven yet and does need engine and other work. It is a project vehicle. It must be towed away on a trailer provided by the buyer. It has a rebuilt radiator from Mr. Scout, newish spark plugs, spark plug wires, the battery still holds a charge, and the rust on the body isn't bad. The rear brakes have been replaced. It also has a non working A/C. The top is screwed. Rusting away. There is caked on oil from a leaky valve cover gasket on the exhaust pipe that starts to smoke and it smokes from the exhaust. It needs some love. The engine is a 345 with the 4BBL carb. Mileage is unknown. It hasn't been registered since 2006. Please ask as many questions as you would like. Vehicle is sold AS IS. I am listing this Scout locally so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Have a wonderful day. On Sep-07-10 at 23:11:27 PDT, seller added the following information: I thought that the rear brakes had been done. I guess they worked on the front. It was done at O.B. Automotive. I've also had some trouble getting it to start. I've been told it's bad gas. It cranks over and really tries. It was starting just fine. If you have any questions please ask.
