Lower reserve than when previously listed!! Up for sale is my 1939 Ford Deluxe Coupe. The transmission is matching numbers original, and the motor is a great running '49 8BA flathead which fires up at the push of a button. This car only recently came from North Dakota which produces some remarkably rust free cars. This one is no exception, and is pretty much rust free with the exception of a small area in the right side of the tailpan, and some very minor surface rust in some areas which can be seen in the photos. The hood is very nicely handstamped roundtop louvered which appears to have been done many years ago. I rebuilt the carburetor, and there is a new Offenhauser fuel pump. I very nicely fabricated new fuel and vacuum advance lines. New plugs and wires. Distributor has new vacuum advance, new ignition coil, and a Pertronix conversion to electronic ignition. There are four new Bob Drake motor/tranny mounts, two new Speedway water pumps, new hoses, new thermostats, new Walker radiator, two speed electric fan, and two speed Ron Francis cooling fan controller. There's a new gas tank & sending unit, new US made wheel cylinders, new master cylinder, and new hoses. New front emergency brake cable. New front end with roller kingpins, new tie rod, new drag link, new ball joints, new Timken front wheel bearings and seals, etc. There's also a NOS front leaf spring with new spring shackles front and rear. As new BF Goodrich wide whitewalls, with new inner tubes. Rims were bead blasted and newly painted. Wheel and dashboard pinstriping were laid by hand. All new wiring, but no turn signals or heater. New rear window seals, new front wood floor boards were painted and sealed, new wiper blades, new taillights, new gas pedal This car has a current New York state inspection! That's right! You can drive this car anywhere, it's very dependable. The body still needs some minor work, primarily in the doorjamb area on the passenger side, but it's perfectly functional. The other area would be the trunklid which is damaged as well along the right lower side. New trunklids are currently reproduced by Bob Drake, if you were inclined to replace this one, or good used ones can still be regularly found. Please don't be discouraged by the relatively minor work the body of this car needs, better you actually see what you're buying than spend your money on some other car generously slathered in bondo. This car is a solid investment, nicer examples sell for tens of thousands more than my reserve, and you're getting a car that you can enjoy driving while you work on it. This car has no rot in the raingutters, doors, floors, or quarter panels! There are no aftermarket patch panels installed in this car. Call me at 917-836-5424, or email me with questions.
