1948 OLDSMOBILE WOODIE WAGON Project Offered at no reserve. First FOUR pictures are the 1948 Olds Wagon offered in this auction. Next THREE pictures are DONOR car available for sale to the winning bidder. This car will require extensive restoration, and may need additional parts. I will include the doors and tailgate as shown for patterns. The top section pieces are shown, mostly complete, but rotted and separated. The top may not survive transport and should be removed. The rear steel top section is not included. No motor or transmission are included. I have restored a similar car and can suggest a restoration strategy of using a donor car for the running gear. The frame in this car has sections that are rusted through. Pictures are shown of a donor car that will be offered for sale to the winning bidder for $2500. The Oldsmobile Station Wagon frame is identical to the model 68 sedan, except for the 8” riveted extension at the rear. In addition, the upper bow of the front cowl is different, and would require the wagon piece to be exchanged. The wood is similar to the 1948 Chevrolet, except for interior trim. The car is located in the Olympic Peninsula area of Washington state. I can assist with transport @ $1.00 per loaded mile. Also available, although not included in this auction is a 1947 Oldsmobile model 68 donor car. Offered at $2500. This car runs great, brakes good, no smoke, idles @400 rpm, hydramatic trans works great, new exhaust, cowl and rockers have been painted. The floor in this car has been repaired, and the body shows little evidence of rust. The frame is very good. The car can be test driven in the yard. Sold with a bill of sale, no title would be included.
