Vehicle Detail
1966 MERCEDES BENZ 250S This car is a complete car but not in running condition. All the parts: headlights, tail lights, bumpers, front grills, engine and it's components (are all original) , wheels, axle assemblies, transmission, steering wheels and mechanism, brakes, suspension members, all the doors and windows and it's parts, etc., are all in place and complete. There are no cracks or chips on the headlights and tail lights. Likewise the sideview and rearview mirrors are in great shape. The same with the windshield and glass windows they are in excellent condition - no dings and scratches. The last time registered "operational" and in running condition was in 1999. Since then it's been park outside -- sitting in the yard but covered completely with tarps. The engine got some minor rust on the surface due to moist in the air overtime. The engine does not turn and I'm not sure if the instruments are working such as the radio, clock, etc. I have not tested them. The car is dusty since it "wasn't" given a wash when I took pictures of it. The dirt is just on the surface of the paint and on the glass windows but they are removable and washable. The condition of the interior is good but not excellent. The seats, floor mats, ceiling, are in a state of being "untouched" for more than a decade which means they are dusty and dirty. Frame and underbody seem to be ok. I will be adding more pictures of the interior and exterior later when I get the chance. In regards to the body paint - the rust is very small and very limited - a few cracking of the paint but no peeling off. On the picture the body paint looks bad - it's because of the very fine dust that seeps through the tarp that have accumulated over the decade in addition to the fine spider cobwebs. But once the body is given a wash it will look good but faded. There are no dents on the body. And this is not a salvage car. Withithout a doubt this car can be restored to its original condition. Or it can be disassembled and sold for parts. There is no reserve price on this car. Starting bid is just $299. Whoever bid the highest, will get the car. I have a clear, clean title. Sold as is and where is. And no warranty. Buyer is responsible for its shipping. It’s in non-running condition and definitely needs work. But without a doubt it can be restored to it's original condition or can be sold and be used for parts, or customized and modernized. This car would make a great project.
