1981 Chevrolet El Camino Conquista Royal Knight with original bed cap. VIN: 1GCCW80HXBZ404115. White exterior with medium blue interior. Fully factory loaded, hard to find, rare classic. One original owner, purchased new. 101,000 original miles, always garaged, and driven weekly. Interior seats, carpets and headliner are in reasonably good shape for a 29 year old vehicle. The vehicle runs well and was never a work truck. Tires have lots of tread left. Have most service records. Original paint is in decent shape and could be easily rubbed out to a like new finish. Restoration to original factory condition should not be that expensive or time consuming. Cruise control The following are interior flaws and mechanical problems: Dash has cracks; sun-visors need to be re-upholstered; driver side seat edges have seen some wear, and there is a tear in the vinyl near drivers side power seat controls; some wood grain burling has rubbed off around the center air conditioning vents; some drips are noticeable on the ground from the engine compartment, and a new flywheel cowl needs to be installed; air conditioning does not work. The following are body flaws, dents, and imperfections: Drivers side mirror has dent and mirror is loose; dent on passenger side rear corner of quarter panel near tail gate; dent on drivers side rear corner of quarter panel (primed) near tail gate; dent on passenger side door (primed) front edge; dent on passenger side rear quarter panel at wheel well; passenger side front bumper rubber molding missing; driver side front quarter panel scrape near marker light, and the corner bumper to body expansion joint is loose; white plastic cowl beneath the front bumper is loose and needs to be remounted; Chevrolet emblem on grill is cracked and loose; spot (primed) on hood; Royal Knight decal on hood has been lost and removed due to deterioration; locking mechanism on bed cap glass door needs repaired; spot (primed) and paint scratch on tail gate; the missing factory chrome center caps with the Chevrolet emblem are stored off the vehicle; and the two front dash speakers for the stereo radio should be replaced. There may be some mechanical, body and or interior problems that have been overlooked, but it is believe that most items have been covered. This vehicle is a restoration project of moderate endeavor for someone with mechanical and body work skills. The vehicle is being sold as is without warranty.
