Most eBayers won't be able to see the car in person, so there are lots and lots of photos for you to look at. Please take time to look at all 37 photos of the car. Before describing the car in detail, let me answer a few questions about the car and why it's being sold. First, I am a private party, not a car dealer. I have recently sold two Harley Davidsons on eBay and this is the final item in my "clear out the garage sale." The car was originally a Southern California car. I purchased it a year ago with the intent to turn it into a hot rod daily driver. I got about three-quarters of the way there, but before I could finish the car, along came a 1965 Cadillac convertible that has become the center of my attention, so this Impala has to find a new home. The reserve on this auction is set at a very reasonable level. I do not disclose my reserve price in advance, so please don't ask me to. If you want the car before the auction has ended, use the "Buy It Now" option. The car is also listed locally for sale and I reserve the right to end the auction if a local buyer wishes to purchase it prior to the reserve being met. I am not interested in trading this car for another car or motorcycle, so please do not offer to do so. The car is registered in AZ and has a clean and clear title. Since my ownership, it has never been in a wreck or fender bender and it doesn't appear to have been in a fender bender or had other damage since it was new. I am not the original owner, so I can't attest that it's never had a dent or two in its 48-year life, but it is a pretty straight car, as the pictures show. There is one paint blemish on the upper passenger side front fender. A photo is provided that shows the blemish. It is not bad, but noticeable. Since bidders/buyer most likely can't see this car in person, a lot of photos are being provided to give everyone a virtual tour of the vehicle. The car is a good, solid California example. The floor pans are solid. There is no noticeable significant rust and no rust through. The car is currently located at a friend's hot rod shop in Fresno, CA and can be seen there if you are nearby. E-mail me on eBay and I will provide his contact information. There are extras that go with the car, many of which are shown in the trunk. There are also extensive receipts for much of the work that was done. The total cost of the work is more than the "Buy It Now" price. As those whose passion is automobiles know, you almost never get the dollars invested in a car project that you've put into it. The return on investment is bringing one of these great American classics back to life. There is a long list of things that have been done to the car, and following is a highlight of some of them. Original 283 motor. Runs strong and solid. No smoke Newly rebuilt 200-4R 4 speed OD transmission Newly installed four wheel disc brakes New power brake master cylinder Four barrel Edelbrock manifold with four barrel Holly carburetor New B.F. I am not always able to respond between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. MST, but I will do my best to answer all questions asked within 24 hours of receiving them. Thank you for your interest in my auction and this great car. I will be pleased to assist the winning bidder/buyer with transportation of the car, but the cost of transportation, making the arrangements and details surrounding scheduling its pick up are the sole responsibility of the winning bidder/buyer.
