About the Sale: This is my 2000 Porsche Cabrio. It’s not a car bought at an auction to sell here on EBay. It’s my own personal toy that I’m selling before retirement to the land of “topes”, (Mexico’s notorious speed bumps). In the next couple of weeks I’ll be listing the other cars that share this garage, (Porsche Boxster, Mercedes SLK Roadster and a Dodge Viper) But for now I’ll try selling this one the way it should be done, starting at $0 and no reserve. About the Car: The car was in exceptional condition when I purchased it and I’ve made some improvements since. Nothing major, but then, I wouldn’t have purchased it in the first place if it needed help. It’s been detailed and waxed religiously. It’s had A recent 60K service and the problematic rear main seal has already been replaced. I’ve parked in the same spot since and there isn’t a hint of fluid stain on the concrete. There is no known paintwork and the paint condition is exceptional for any color, but for a black one, it’s outstanding. The top is in great shape. There are no rips, tears, stains or frayed stitching. The rear window is clear and free of scratches. Also the front window is excellent. There aren’t any wiper marks, rock chips or scratches. As you can see from the pictures, the 18” wheels are in great shape, as are the P Zero tires. The brakes and rotors are all good and the underside of the car has no rust. No seepage of any kind, either. The tan interior is real nice, having no rips or rub throughs. However, the interior of this car is the location of my one beef about the car and that’s the steering wheel. The original owner of the car gripped the wheel in the same place every time he drove. He wore a ring, which rubbed the steering wheel in the same spot every time. (You can see the mark in the picture with the odometer.) It is on the surface of the leather and doesn’t rub through. I guess it could be redyed, but I didn’t have it done. If there is someone in your town that can do these things, it would be nice to make that little wound go away. I guess that’s it. Email or phone if you have questions. If you get near here or live nearby, I’d be proud to show you the car. I’ve done what I can to make this a true, straightforward and simple auction. Please do your part by only bidding if you plan to buy the car and plan to buy the car only if you have the money. I hope you are the right person for the car. Good luck with the bidding, and regards. Misc: My home phone is 503 640-0119. I'll make myself available to help with the loading and what ever else but the cost of shipping is the buyer's responsibilityOn Sep-03-10 at 20:12:34 PDT, seller added the following information: The listing mistakenly says "Automatic". This porsche has the 6 speed manual transmissionOn Sep-04-10 at 10:12:33 PDT, seller added the following information: This is not a allwheel drive car, This is a Carrera 2 just like I listed it. Sorry I should have noticed the mistake sooner
