Vehicle Detail
I'm happy to announce another CL77 by JWsDreamMachines that will sell to the highest bidder. This one is really special. It was brought to the USA from Japan by the 1st owner in 1967(I am the third owner) That's why the title reads as a 1968 model. I believe the only difference between the Japanese domestic model and the US import is the domestic had turn signals, it did not have turn signals on it when I bought it from the 2nd owner I received it with the current speedometer on it. I believe the speedo to be original but can not be sure, as it only shows 1,900 miles on it. The mechanic that timed and tuned the bike says he has no doubt the miles are accurate. But I can say when I bought the bike it still had the original tires on it that besides being age cracked, looked new. The CL77 or 305 scrambler is a bike I have had a passion for since I was 17, in 1967. Over the years I have owned over 40 of them. These are bikes that I eventually sold, were either in great original condition or restored before being passed on to an equally appreciative nostalgic old fool like myself. This is the first bike I have installed an electronic ignition system on to replace the eratic points on these bikes...all I can say is, WOW!!! What a difference from the constant frustration CL77 enthusiasts share by never being able to get the timing right. And the cost to buy and install this on the bike makes my face red! Out of all the bikes I have ever owned, except the new one I had in 1967, this bike runs the best!....and that familiar exhaust sound, it just takes me back to when I was a kid like I was on a time machine. Much time and money has been spent getting the CL77 in its present condition, it has new tires, battery, and many NOS parts. The chrome is original and shows how well the bike has been pampered the past 40 years. The frame, tank, fenders and side covers were all professionally repainted. The carbs have been cleaned & properly adjusted. The oil has been changed & the internal filter was cleaned, the clutch plates were cleaned and the clutch was adjusted properly....and I can't say enough about that electronic ignition. No more timing issues, ever!!!!! A couple things I need to mention....when I took the bike in today to get it inspected, I discovered the headlight was burnt out, also the nuetral light is out. Both easy fixes and both bulbs are available on ebay. It's ready to be a daily rider, show or just show up at your local cruise night....no matter what you decide to do with it, I guarentee you will gather a crowd where ever you go with this Vintage Classic! you can see more photos including close ups of the bike at this web site: http://s560.photobucket.com/albums/ss49/jwalte01/1967%20CL77/ So check out the photos closely, ask questions, come check it out in person if you want and then bid what you think it is worth. I am a retired business man that has a passion for old Motorcycles . My son and I are always looking for nice clean bikes that we can clean up, restore or maybe even ride and keep for awhile. But mostly we just enjoy the thrill of finding them and them passing them on to a collector like ourselves that will appreciate them as much as we do.You can check us out on my web site, www.JWsDreamMachines.com We specialize nice Vintage Collectable Japanesebikes from the 60’s 70's and 80'sThis is one of those bikes….. If you want the best, in my opinion this bike is it!!! The bike is Idaho bike and has a Idaho title Please, please, please be sure that you have the money to purchase the bike if you are bidding. All the inspections must be done before the auction closes. Keep in mind that this classic bike is 43 years old. Please remember that things always seem to look better in pictures, however in my opinion, the photos really do the bike justice. It really is that nice. I put a lot of time and money into it to make it look and run the way it does. So you are more than welcome to come see it in person, and if you are not sure, please don’t bid. Your bid is your contract. Please place bids only if you are serious about buying the item. If you have the winning bid, you are entering into a legal binding contract to purchase the item. We require a $500 non-refundable deposit immediately after the bidding closes, and the remaining balance within a week. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. All of this being said please take a look at the pictures and ask any questions you may have. Or come by and check it out in person before you bid. The bike will be sold as is, with no warranty or guarantee. We reserve the right to cancel any bid for excessive negative feedback. And I may also advertise it locally
