Vehicle Detail

Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a great running 1996 Subaru Legacy Outback wagon! I have personally put about 500 miles..having never driven a Subaru before, now I know why people are so crazy about these cars! This is one of the best handling vehicles I have ever driven, bare none! I simply can't stop driving it...I find myself taking it everywhere. Being a trade in, this isn't a perfect car but it doesn't need much at all. The winner of this auction will get a great car with lots of life left in it for a very fair price. Here is everything I know about this car: The exterior is pretty good. I have not as much as washed this car so it is pretty much as I recieved it. Even dirty, it still looks very nice to the eyes. There are a few spots of rust on each of the four fenders. It isn't horrible and most of it is under the paint but it is starting. There is also a small bubble on the hatch. The corners of the hood at the windshield are slightly. I have no idea why...there is no other apparent damage. Overall this is a great looking car with normal wear for the year and miles. The interior is pretty clean. There is some wear to the carpet in the cargo area and a stain on the left rear seat cushion. There are no rips in the seats, headliner or carpet. From what I can tell this was a non smokers car. The ash tray is clean and there is are no bad odors in the car. There is a crack in the plastic by the ash tray. Overall the interior shows pretty well considering the age of the car. The power windows and locks work well. Mechanically the car is sound. The engine starts every time and runs smooth. The suspension is super tight and the brakes are very good. There are no leaks that I can find anywhere. The engine doesn't smoke or burn any fluids either. For some reason, the old owner removed the belt to the air conditioner. I spun the pulley and the compressor is not locked up so I could not imagine why someone would do this. Because of the lack of a belt, I was unable to tell if the air works or not. Like I said, the obvious reason for removing a belt is a locked compressor but this one spins free so I don't know what the reasoning was for doing this. The drivers front tire looks good but the other three are pretty worn. Depending on your states inspection laws, they may need replaced. I'm pretty sure they would fail PA inspection. There is a slight pull to the right side when driving and a vibration around 30 mph. I've hit pot holes before that have knocked my alignment out and even damaged the sidewalls of tires. I believe new tires for inspection and an alignment would fix this. I know my way around a car but I am by no means a mechanic. Anyone interested is welcome to come check out the car are drive it for themselves. I have been completely honest and welcome any inspections of this car. The last bid will take this car. In "car lot" condition, this is a $4,000 car but someone will get it for a fraction of that price. It drives great on the highway. Like I said, I have put several hundred miles on it both around town and at 80+ mph. This is a great car and should give thousands of miles of motoring to the next owner. Thanks and good luck. Feel free to ask any questions. I have tried to photograph everything but if anything is unclear please ask before you bid.
