This is a 1967 Pontiac GTO Post Car. This is a true 242 VIN GTO. It has the original 400ci Engine with a manual 4-Speed transmission. I have the PHS documentation stating the engine unit number is 343693 and that is stamped on the motor above WT. I am not guessing that this is numbers matching, I KNOW that it is. This car has been PHS documented offering proof of all original claims. It has the correct colors and options. The motor runs out great. It has great power and sounds great. It does not miss a beat. The visual appearance of the motor is very original. It even has the original air cleaner. The interior of the car is all brand new parchment. The seats have been recovered. It has new carpet, sill plates, door panels, quarter panels, window cranks, door weather stripping, arm rest pads/bases, package tray, and headliner. This car was center console delete from the factory. If you want one you can put one in. The exterior of the body is in beautiful shape. It is the correct color. It has a new bumpers, emblems all around, rocker chrome, and grills. The car shows very well and the paint shines up great. From the factory it has hubcaps and still does. The metal on the car is great. This is not a bondo bucket. It has had new quarters and trunk put in, but the floors are original and are in perfect shape. This car is originally from Colorado. The frame is nothing short of perfect. No rust spots or weakness anywhere on it. This is a virgin car. It has not been altered, just improved upon. This is a GTO that has been unchanged for most of its life. This is a great GTO if you are looking for something good and original. This car isn't going to win every race, or place in a national competition, but the one thing it will do is take you back. It runs and feels like a muscle car should. It is quite fascinating actually. The original owner purchased the car in April of 1968 in Kansas while in the Navy. Sometime after he relocated to Colorado where he kept ownership of the car until 2003, when a friend of mine purchased it. I am the current owner of the car and still have the original 1968 title. (yes the title is good and clear)
