This base model DeVille. There is nothing special about it with the top UP, but, it is fantastic to drive with the top DOWN! Even after the conversion, it still seats 6 and has plenty of trunk room for golf clubs, suitcases or beach chairs. Here's the deal... The Kelley Blue Book Private Party Value is about $10,000 The Cost of New Convertible Conversion $22,000+ you have to get the car to/from Florida It has fancy rims that cost about $2,000 There is still the Extended Warranty through Cadillac for 6 months that is worth a couple hundred bucks--more if you need something fixed! Total Value about $34,800 --without the "cool" factor! Paid over $50K new with all upgrades. What is wrong with the car? -The interior is a bit sun-baked, but, not too bad considering the top is down most days when the sun is shining. Some seat stiching would be good! -The window mouldings/weather needs to be trimmed and replaced/reconditioned as it does not like the sun and elements. -Two tires need to be replaced. -There are two minimal wear marks on the canvas top. -There is some minor wear on the inside of the hard boot components, again easily fixed at upholstery shop. -You will notice rattles when the top is up, from the roof components-this can be tightened and lubricated. Which is why you keep the top down! -It gets dirty inside when the top is down. -There is a small chip on the passenger's side windshield (not cracked). You'll need to put about $1,000 of care into this car. All regular service has been done by local Cadillac dealers and I have addressed some warranty issues. Recently had engine mounts replaced and oil gasket. Quick note about pictures. The close up shots are 1) the custom "boot" that covers the convertible components when the top is down and 2) the quality interior finishing, padding and lever area where the top is secured. Vehicle history. It was originally a fleet/GM exec vehicle. I purchased from a dealer in Florida in August, 2005. He obtained it at my request from a GM Auction. I have been the owner since I took the car for customization in 2005 and have done all service and warranty work at local dealers. Info available in detail if requested.
