I had this vehicle recently restored by J&J Volkswagen here in Dallas. I did thid for my son who was turning sixteen but one thing led to another and the restoration took a year longer than originally expected. The vehicle has only been driven 150 miles since the restoration which included, new paint (MG Chile Red), Rebuilt engine with increase from 1600cc to 1700cc, rebuilt gearbox, tatally new interior. You will see an airconditioning unit on top and J&J Volkswagen put in a lot of electronic stuff to make this work but I would say that having it work while you are driving would be a long shot. However useful to plug into when you are at a campsite. I spent too much money on this with over $25,000 invested. I somehow do not expect to recover my investment and do not need to sell her but would like to see her go to a good home that can improve her and get proper use out of her. I took out all of the foo foo furniture that comes in a Westy and simply extended the fold down bed to full width. Happy bidding
