For sale is a 1980 Camaro I was building for my 15 year old son. He wants a Supra so now it is for sale. Here is a very nice RUST FREE 80 Camaro V-8 automatic with a 10 bolt posi-trac. Please read the detail and I will tell you all I know as I was the one building it for him. I have had this car almost 6 months and just about done when my son came and said he has no interest in the car. (I had an 80 Camaro as a kid and didn't want to force it on him). It has a nice running 305 engine I was told came out of a C4 Corvette with a nice RV cam (runs great). It has a new Quadrajet carb and new Edelbrock intake with headers that exit out a new 2 1/2 exhaust. I replaced the entire fuel system, lines, tank and carb (there was bad gas from sitting). The transmission is stock unit and the rear axle is a 10 bolt posi-trac. It has powersteering that I replaced 2 lines and one belt and disc brakes in front and drum in rear (both new). It has a new alternator and new Optima battery ($179.00). This car sounds great and runs better. The body was an excellent RUST FREE, damage free car. It was sitting for a year and the fuel went bad but was in great shape otherwise. I had the car striped and repainted black ($3,000 and got a great paint job) All trim was removed there is zero overspray. When the tail lights were out I had them polished and coated before I reinstalled them. I added the Z28 hood, Z28 lower spoiler and rear spoiler when it was in paint. (look at the pictures there are no crackes in the nose or damage to the spoiler). I added new weather strip on the doors and trunk. (I took deatailed pictures of the door bottom to show how nice they are). Over-all the floors, trunk and body are in perfect condition. After the paint I added the new B.F.Goodrich tires 245/60R15 in rear and 235/60R15 in front on gold Z28 8 inch rims. (the rims are almost mint condition). Has Z28 rim and new tire in the trunk as a spare. The interior has the nicest seats I have ever seen in a car this age. I did add new carpet ( I took pictures of the floors if you want to see them without carpet). The interior is very nice and headliner looks to be perfect, the dash has one small crack. The radio does not work (I didn't hook it up). It has no a/c but, has factory cruise, tilt, roll up windows and manual locks. I have the original books that I found inside the car. I have over $6,000.00 invested in this car, with me doing most the work myself. I have no reserve and the buy it now is a steal at $7500.00 Look at what rust-free nice cars are going for (10K-12K) I need the room so...... bid away. There are no plates or inspection yet.
