This is not exactly the same as the final list (almost, though)… 1985 BMW 528e Black, Tan Interior, chipped with D’Sylva Performance e28 Great Gas Mileage COOL CAR!!! Sold AS IS This badboy is a beast. Bottom line. I really don’t want to sell her, but I’m leaving the country next week! So, I’m actually against the wall here and just need to sell her asap. That’s why I listed it as soon as I could—so sorry about the lack of pics. They will be up VERY soon, detailing everything properly. The paint is original and is in seriously good shape. No oxidizing at all. There are a few nicks, but no big deal. Honestly, when she’s cleaned up, it looks AMAZING. Very deep. The interior: The passenger seat is in great shape. The entire rear seat is IMMACULATE! The drivers seat does have tears unfortunately, but throw one of those sheep-skin covers on there and you’re golden (and those things are way comfy, too). The dash has some cracks, but they’re not horrendous and could also easily be taken care of with a dash cap (if you don’t know what these are and are looking to get ANY e28 or the likes, familiarize yourself asap. They’re incredible, and look exactly like the dash, so you don’t even know they’re on). She’s been a California girl her whole life (bought in Beverly Hills), so virtually no rust on this one! And isn’t that what we all want?! YES IT IS! She rides like a dream. Suspension is fantastic and, as many of you I’m sure already know, its handling is awesome. EXCELLENT GAS MILEAGE. I re-chipped her a while back with the D’Sylva performance chip. It made an amazing difference. I’ve always got around 27-28 mpg with this car. And who doesn’t feel a smile coming on with that news, eh? I can include the original for whatever reason, if you like. J AC Blows COLD, baby! ISSUES: Please read!!! Very small ATF leak from the Power Steering Reservoir (power steering fluid in this car is actually ATF), but it’s inconsistent, so sometimes it won’t even leak at all. The check lights above the review mirror won’t ever turn off. It’s a weird little electrical oddity, but it doesn’t put hardly any drag on the battery, so it really doesn’t matter. The battery is always perfect, so it really doesn’t matter. I just thought I’d mention it, so you aren’t like, “Whoa mate, what?! ***The Odometer stopped working at 173k, but there is NO WAY we’re more than 3-4k MAX!! over that.*** There is a stain on the rear side headliner that looks like it’s from water. THIS CAR HAS NEVER LEAKED WATER SINCE I’VE HAD IT, so I really have no idea what happened, or when. Rear Driver side tail light is chipped in upper part. No issue other than it’s not the most appealing thing aesthetically. Someone backed into me in a parking lot some time back and didn’t leave a note…too typical. Nothing else was affected by this whatsoever though. It was a very light little tap…they just happened to hit my light instead of the bumper. Ah! Newish Additions New-ish (both) main AND internal fuel pumps (about 2 years-ish ago I think? I’ll check again). Alternator a fcouple years ago. Never had any issues Battery (bigger and better than the original “recommended” battery for this car…which is a total piece…never put that one in) about 3 months ago. Also there are new, nice terminal heads on there for good conductivity. Steering box and front linkages, etc about 1.5 years ago I’ll think of more soon!!! I just had to get her up! On Aug-24-10 at 12:14:04 PDT, seller added the following information: Okay, so I wanted to get a few more pictures, etc up last night, but I got off work late and went right to bed...so sorry about that everyone! I will have several pictures up tonight. But, here are some notes I neglected to mention in my frenzy to list it! PLEASE READ! ***Kenwood phantom face cd player – looks and sounds great (folds-up when it’s off so you don’t see it, and glows amber-red to match the rest of the interior/ dash lights in the car when it’s on). Very, very cool. ***Replaced original rear deck speakers with Pioneers – these sound fantastic. ***I have a Black Widow Keyless Entry System/ Alarm included – it’s mounted behind a panel in the trunk so you don’t see it. It has been disconnected for a while, because I lost the key-remote and never bought a new one, but it always worked great and was very convenient! You can get these remotes pretty cheap and re-sync them. Great system! And added protection! ***Motorized antenna doesn’t go up – I think this is just some issue with gripping the actual antenna itself. You can hear the gears in that little motor mechanism turning when you turn on the car, but the antenna just doesn’t go up. It's honestly probably just a small piece of rubber that wore-off. I’m sure it could be fixed relatively easily if you were so inclined, but I’ve never tried. ***The Passenger Side Fog Light is cracked. ***I have MATCHING spare rim with tire – so you’re getting 5 (five) original rims in total. ***Tires have A LOT of life in them. The tread is great and will definitely last for a really long time – there is no uneven wear or anything like that, at all. ***Replaced Entire Cat-back Exhaust System with OEM replacement – about 3-ish years ago. ***All windows including Sunroof work great – the two rears are a bit slow, but they always have been since I’ve owned the car, and they’ve never let me ‘down’ -excuse the pun :) ***Trans shifts beautifully – no slipping at all. ***Tags are good through December ***Odometer stopped at 174,333 – THERE REALLY IS NO POSSIBLE WAY IT’S BEYOND 177k and some change. And that’s a really high-end estimate. The engine and trans are both running incredibly well. VERY strong. ***I will have all fluids completely topped-off before I sell it. Also, this car will handle long drives, no problem. I’ve done them in the past and it’s done great. We’ll just make sure to change the oil before you drive it back if you live far away, and you should be perfectly set to go! I think that’s it! Except for the pictures, of course. Unfortunately, they make everything look MUCH worse than it actually is, so please do bear that in mind. My car's interior is not an ashy gray kind of weirdness or anything like that. This camera is horrendous. Those little lights that always stay on...really no big deal at all.
