Vehicle Detail

The wife wants a buy a vacation home and has "asked" me to sell my toy. Rather than fighting with her about it and potentially losing 1/2 of "all" of my stuff, here I am. I am lifelong Ford enthusiast, having owned an '03 Cobra, before purchasing this 2010 Shelby GT500 convertible. The fit and finish of the new Shelbys are something to see. I am a private seller and own the vehicle outright. The car was purchased new in March 2010 and is LOADED WITH ALL OPTIONS including Navigation, Ambient Lighing, HID headlamps, Shaker Sound System, and Shelby car cover. It has never be in an accident and is my garage-kept weekend car - I have a Nissan as my good gas mileage daily driver. I purchased the PremiumCare warranty coverage good through 3/15/2017 or 36,000 miles ($895). I've added a few extras: Escort Passport 9500ci, the ultimate custom-installed radar and laser defense system with all-band radar protection and precise laser "shifting" technology ($1700 installed) (https://www.escortradar.com/store/passport-9500ci.html?WT.term=escort+9500ci&WT.campaign=15&WT.source=google&WT.medium=cpc&WT.content=1677&utm_term=escort+9500ci&utm_campaign=15&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_content=1677&cshift_ck=2067185436cs1677&WT.srch=1) Borla ATAK Stainless Steel Cat-Back - enhances performance through better exhaust flow with a more aggressive note ($1000 installed) . Here is a link to YouTube video so your can hear the exhaust on my car. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxKmpeS80D4) Lethal Performance 2010 GT500 Boost Upgrade Kit ($800). Kit includes a 2.60" Supercharger Pulley, Black Anodized Aux idler pulley , NGK TR6 plugs and a custom tuned SCT X3 handheld computer. Safely gain between 90-100rwhp based on a 93 octane tune. http://www.lethalperformance.com/2010-shelby-gt500-power-packages-c-5711_6042. I am including the SCT X3, as well as the Pulley Removal tool, in case you wish to return the car to stock. Buyer will need to provide a new 3" pulley (~$150) The vehicle has never seen the track or the dragstrip. Buyer is responsible for picking the car up or arranging for transportation. Seller provides no financing. Serious bidders only. On Aug-19-10 at 10:54:35 PDT, seller added the following information: The wife wants to buy a vacation home and has "asked" me to sell my toy. REVISIONS TO LISTING: "At the request of the Buyer, the Seller will replace the 2.6 inch pulley with a stock 3 inch pulley and reflash the stock tune to return the engine to its stock form. The 2.6 pulley and SCT computer will be included in the sale. If the engine performance modifications are left on the vehicle, tThe Seller makes no representations regarding whether or not they will violate the vehicle’s factory warranty.” MY RESPONSE TO QUESTION ABOUT WARRANTY/PAINT/WRECKS The aftermarket exhaust (and radar) will not void the warranty. Borla is factory standard on the GT500 SuperSnake and I didn’t do an X-Pipe which would affect the air-fuel. As far as the pulley is concerned, it depends. Dealers are aware that nearly everyone does the pulley swap to extract the extract horsepower that was left at the factory. The dealer would need to argue that the failure was caused by the modifications. In my opinion, it’s hard to make that argument when the SuperSnake has all of the same engine internals and puts out 650+rwhp. The tune I have is from a reputable company, mass-marketed, and very conservative (93 octane premium pump gas). Playing devils advocate, odds are pretty good that a smaller pulley causing the supercharger to spin faster would cause more wear & tear on the supercharger and a supercharger warranty claim would probably be denied. However, its not likely that a pulley change would cause probs with the battery, radio, seats, etc. and your warranty would remain intact for those items no affected by the supercharger. If you ever had a major problem, it takes less than an hour to switch out the pulley and upload the stock tune. I haven’t had the car dyno’d, so I’m going by the horsepower claims put out by Lethal Performance. Here is a good thread on the pulley warranty question (http://www.teamshelby.com/forums/index.php?/topic/59655-does-the-addition-of-a-tuner-pulley-void-warranty/) The car has never been in any wrecks. The only service it’s had was an oil change at Dale Jarrett Ford. It has never been re-painted or had paint touch-ups. There are no chips or dents from road-debris. The paint is in excellent condition. On Aug-22-10 at 08:05:08 PDT, seller added the following information: Found a house that we love so I went from half-heartedly hoping this auction would fail to wanting the car move. The reserve is set very LOW so this car is going to sell. Kelley Blue Book "good" (i think its excellent) condition for the car is $48k (http://www.kbb.com/used-cars/ford/mustang/2010/private-party-value/pricing-report?condition=good&id=264293&equipment=3066403%7ctrue%7c3066399%7ctrue%7c3066400%7ctrue%7c3066399%7ctrue&mileage=6400) I'm lowering the BUY-IT NOW from $47k to $45k to provide even more incentive for a serious bidder to spare him/herself the heartburn and just take this auction down.
