Vehicle Detail
1979 Jeep CJ7 It's been garage kept, I am the owner and title holder. Unlike most Jeeps this age, there is no rust on the frame or floorpans. Automatic 3 speed, Chevy V6 engine, 35" superswamper tires, 4.5" total lift. Rino lined interior. All fluids, spark plugs, cap, rotor and filters have been regularly changed. It was also upgraded with powerbrakes and tilt steering column. A rear seat and bikini top is also included with the Jeep. I've replaced the following with new parts (and have receipts for much of it still): New Alternator, Optima reptop battery, greasable u-joints, front seats, most of the bulbs, steering wheel, Tranny/motor mounts, Wiper motor, hydro lift shocks, daystar greasable shackles, daystar 1" body lift, rancho springlift, seat belts, Distributor, fuel pump, fuel sending unit. The previous owner put a trick shifter on it, so you can switch gears manually, if wanted. Some of the lights and gauges on the dash don't work, the fuel gauge and oil pressure works for sure though. The high/low gear shifts fine on the t-case. The previous owner also upgraded the rear axels to 1-piece axels. The 4WD is not hooked up, it's missing a vacuum hose that goes from the t-case to the carb. I just never got around to it, also I've never taken it "off road" and abused it. There's a 5" crack at the top center of the windshield, it is not in the way of your vision. The jeep accelerates fine as long as you're not trying to race with it, but it acts like it cannot get the gas fast enough if you try to accelerate very quickly, I believe the large tires are the reason for this. These few things are not major issues for everyday driving (which is what I've used the Jeep for), I just like it when people are upfront in their discription before selling something... Overall, it's in very good condition for the age. You are welcome to inspect and drive the Jeep. Please email me to setup a time, I'm on the southeast side of Ocala, FL. A $500 Paypal deposit is required from the auction winner. Please email me if you have any questions, thank you.
