Here is your chance to own a beautiful and increasingly rare piece of BMW history. Fewer than 1800 of these cars were produced and rarely does a car of this level come available. I purchased this car from a collector in GA who purchased the car from Bernd Weber of Weber Motors in Fresno CA (Weber BMW now) Car was registered to Bernd and He may have been the original owner; I have copies of registrations back to 1980 with car registered to Bern, CA Plate IMCLIO (Clio Weber). Prior to my purchasing the car the gentleman I purchased the car from performed extensive mechanical and cosmetic restoration.Car was completely repainted, new wiring harness installed, new carpets installed, seats reupholster, new top installed, all new suspension with heavy duty roll bars and Bilsteins installed, 4 wheel disk brakes, Air conditioning installed, Transmission was upgraded to 5 speed and Motor was sent out and bored and built to 2.0 by renowned engine builder Erik Kerman. Car looks and runs beautifully, thousands of dollars went into chrome trim alone. Car is not perfect though as there is some rust underneath that will need to be addressed at some point in the future. This is a 39 year old car in excellent condition but it is not a 100 point restoration. If you are serious, e-mail any questions and please come inspect the car. I struggle with selling the car as I know it will be very difficult to find another in this condition, but with 6 other cars I just have too many right now so I am working on doing some consolidating.
