Vehicle Detail

For sale is my 2006 BMW R1200RT. I hate to see it go!!!!!! I am selling the bike simply because I don't have the time to ride. Too many other hobbies and activities to find the time to enjoy this wonderful bike. The bike has never been dropped, dented, dinged or scratched and looks like it just came off of the showroom floor. The approx $5,000 in options included are really designed for the rider who has long distances in mind with items like the tire kit w/compressor, first aid kit, GPS, bike covers, as well as the seat, backrest and extra storage compartments. I'm not interested in selling parts off of the bike. The motorcycle is a blast to drive, and if you've ever had the pleasure to ride one you know. Included in the auction is the 2006 R1200RT in granite grey metallic with only 3,869mi on a bike that can easily make it to 100K+ All the standard options of course come with the bike, but the numerous extras include: GPS, lockable to the bike, with special tool (included.) ($1,000) Also included with the GPS is everything you need to take it with you in a car! Very versatile, and can be switched from the car to bike in a minute or two. Included with the car mounts is the permanent mount and a portable travel mount, along with the remote and all other original accessories. Electric suspension adjustment. On board computer. Radio prep kit (though I didn't get the radio itself) Heated grips, with two stage heating. Russell "Day-Long" touring two-stage heated seats, I have a 32" inseam and weigh about 210, and can place my feet flat on the ground at a stop. This option alone was around $1,000 Driver's backrest. Cost of ($415) 49L BMW original top case with key cylinder matched to ignition key, and passenger backrest on case. ($921) Original BMW hard side saddle bags painted to match bike, fully lockable and detachable. Also has soft side saddle bags for easy removal and portability from the hard bags. ($100) Driver lowering riding pegs. ($180) Ilium Works sidestand plate, larger footprint kickstand base with easy extension arm for raising/lowering kickstand. ($33) BMW OEM cylinder head guards. BMW original tank bag w/: ($345) + Travel first aid kit. Tire plugging kit. Travel compressor. All original manuals (I even have the business card and ballpoint pen from the dealer!) AND: Manual of the friends of BMW, in case you need a dealership or friend of riders along your trip Anti-theft alarm system with remote, and second remote with "valet" style key used to make copies. R1200GT mirrors, in addition to the ones built into the body. (I thought this would be the first thing I'd remove, and I ended up loving the extra sights behind and to the side.) Lee Bailey's larger area front windshield, helps that air pass around you better than the stock one. Electronically adjustable front windshield. Cruise Control. Handlebar raiser insert. ($113) Headlight stone guard. Travel 1/2 cover with travel bag. It's nice when you park overnight to come out to a dry seat and windshield! Full cover, I guess for when you aren't traveling! ($150) Oil filter removing socket. (I'll admit I used it on a R1150RT, and will come with the bike, can't say for sure it's the same one for a 1200) Emergency flashlight. ($10) Battery Tender ($65).....Plus: The rear accessory socket is wired directly to the battery, allowing the tender to be plugged into the socket to keep the battery on charge, no need to remove the seats and plug the bike in. All other functions of this socket are normal. Also, an accessory outlet adapter to convert the bike adapter size to car size outlet. ($27) Accessory bungee net, for attaching something to the back seat. ($9) And hours of fun free with purchase. I do have the title in hand, and the buyer will be responsible for arranging and paying for pickup. The bike it truly beautiful, and has more options on it than I've ever seen on a bike anywhere. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. Any extra pics desired (including high resolution or photos of a certain part of the bike,) serious questions, please feel free to call 8O4-873-49l6. Keep in mind I'm on the east cost, and would prefer to be contacted between 7AM and 11PM EST. Thanks for looking!
