For sale is a super-rare, beautiful 1978 Saab 99 Turbo. Overall this car is in great shape mechanically and cosmetically with minor dings and mechanical fixes need. I bought this car in Seattle in December 2005. It has been kept garaged in Northern California and driven about weekly since. Previous owner completed extensive work, including an engine rebuild at 200,264 miles. I have also completed a lot of work to get the car in great running shape. I will add more details in the next few days. The car includes an electric water pump which has helped significantly with keeping a consistent, low engine temp. Car has no A/C, or stereo. Speedometer just stopped working in the past couple weeks. Some of the black is scuffed off of the rear spoiler. The windshield is peppered with fine dings and has one quarter damaged area with a rock embedded in it in front of the driver's side. This has been here since I bought the car. There are minor dings and scratches on the body, but overall the paint is beautiful. The interior is in nice shape. Rear seats are beautiful. Passenger side seat has one tear near the upper seam. The driver seat is the only one in really bad shape - lots of rips. Would really need to be completely redone to be usable. I keep this covered as shown. The rear tray is in not-so great shape. The covering on it is very worn, but the carpet in the rear area beneath it is in beautiful shape. The headliner is perfect. The dash is coming away from the windshield, but is in great shape. Just needs to be properly re-attached. Recent mechanical work includes: March 2009: replaced all 4 fuel injectors, February 2009 added aftermarket electric water pump. I have the original manuals as shown. I have the original install instructions that came with it. I have been thrilled with this addition to the car. It keeps it at a nice, even temperature. The car also has a sunroof. It's the best sunroof I've ever had - you just grab the release handle and slide it back. So simple. On Aug-14-10 at 11:27:59 PDT, seller added the following information: I have uploaded 2 photos of the driver seat without the cover. Structurally it is sound and very comfortable, but as you can see it could use some attention cosmetically. Also added is a close-up of the dashboard. Again the dash material is in great shape but needs to be re-attached where it meets the windshield. Last photo is of the interior covering of the hatch.
