1956 Cadillac - Original Survivor! We are listing this beautiful car for my wifes' parents. The car is located in Waynesville, Ohio - near Dayton. This car runs strong and would be a stunning daily driver. It has a particularly pristine original interior and is in overall excellent original condition. The pictures represent the condition and appearance well. Please view them closely for detail of the excellent, original, unrestored condition. As the pictures show, there are some minor flaws - but for 54 years of age it looks really amazing. The paint is original, although we believe there are a couple of places where it has been touched up at some point. The paint shines and does not appear faded. The body panels are solid. All the chrome is in great shape, and there is a lot of it!. Mileage is approx. 85,000 and is believed to be correct. The interior is outstanding. It is not ripped, torn, worn or faded. Everything is tight, straight and solid. It has been a few years, but last time I tried every guage, window, seat and control, everything worked - even the clock! However the radio does not work and the front passenger window is cracked (easy fix). Although there are no pictures of the engine and trunk (my father in- law did not take any) the condition is as good as the rest of the car.The trunk still has its original liner! My in-laws have owned it for 21 years and always stored it inside, maintained it well and have driven it very little. The previous owner was an acqaintance who had it for about 15 years and also babied it. He stored it inside and also drove it just for special occasions. The car runs well and has been mechanically well maintained for the past 35 years or so which we have been familar with. We believe the motor is orginal. It was rebuilt 20-something years ago, but there have been few miles put on since. The brakes were rebuilt in more recent years and are great. Steering work was also done a few years ago. The car runs strong, but there is a minor exhaust manifold leak. The fuel pump is not original. The car is equipped with an electronic fuel pump. Tires are bias-ply wide white-wall and in very good condition and appears to have the original spare tire. Sitting in storage year after year, my in-laws drive it periodically just to keep things moving.. It always starts right up! The car is in Ohio. I am in the Chicago area.
