This is a very nice, solid 1967 Pontiac GTO Convertible. It has the rare quality of a front bench seat. The car is triple black (black exterior paint, black interior paint and black upholstery). I have spent a lot money and time on this car since I bought it and started a custom restoration in 2002. I was not able to complete the restoration considering I moved to Europe in 2003. The engine is an original 400 that I had rebuilt in 2003 by Prostock Engine in Salt Lake City, Utah. It was a complete tear down and rebuild with all new parts and has 400 horsepower. The former owner informed me that the engine was out of a 67 stick shift car; I cannot confirm this, however. Since the engine was rebuilt I have driven it one summer and since then the car has been on blocks. The engine has been started once a month. Kindigit in Salt Lake City, Utah (www.kindigit.com) did all the work on the frame, suspension and front-end. The frame was removed from the body in 2003, sandblasted, welded and then powder-coated. The trunk floor was replaced at the same time. The front end was rebuilt with Global West a-arms and spindle. The entire steering and front brakes has been rebuilt with new parts. The transmission works well. This is NOT a numbers matching this car.The front and rear suspension is built with Air Ride Shock Wave compressor and air-tank.The front and rear bumper was re-chromed and new headlight bezels were mounted in 2002. The body is straight except for one dent on the right side. The paint is black and in good shape. The convertible top is dated and in good shape with no holes. The back window is clear but is starting to yellow a bit. All the windows are in good shape with no cracks but a couple of the side windows have a few scratches.The interior and upholstery is in fair shape with a small surface scratch on the leather in the rear bench and a small nick on the drivers side seat. A former owner reupholstered the front and rear seats. A Sun Tach is mounted where the clock was originally. This car is in great shape and is ready for the summer. Drive a classic muscle car…….I am selling the car because I have decided to stay in Europe and it is in Salt Lake City, Utah.
