Vehicle Detail
This Austin-Healey BN1, built in November of 1953, was originally one of the very rare Coronet Cream cars built to honor HRH The Queen of England on her coronation. A three owner car, it was originally sold here in Buffalo, NY, and was subsequently sold to an engineer at Kodak who spent a lot of time and money rebuilding the engine and preserving it. Purchased in the 1980's, and lovingly restored, color then changed to Healey blue, new blue interior in correct leather with light gray piping, and new 48 spoke wheels. In 2007 the car suffered minor body damage when the roof of the building it was stored in collapsed. Over the next two years a professional body off rebuild, including new paint, trim, some chrome, windshield, steering wheel, trafficator, etc. Totaling over 12k This car runs, drives and stops excellently. No known problems at this time. It does need a new top and carpet. Also, the chassis finish could stand to be freshened and the engine compartment could use a detailing. On Aug-06-10 at 13:09:43 PDT, seller added the following information: * Total mileage on car is 66k, approximately 20k on rebuilt engine/transmission.
