For sale I have my own personal drift car, 1989 240sx. I bought this in 2008 and drifted it until the single cam engine blew in December of 09, the sr20det was swapped in when the chassis had 217K miles and it now reads close to 222k so I have driven 5k miles since the engine swap which was completed at the end of December of 09, This car was not driven on snow and the rust condition can be seen in the pics. I have driven in total to 3 drift events, drifted, and driven back home no problems. . Most people with a 240sx from the eastcoast will be afraid of showing you the undercarrige of the car, I'm not one of them. This is a solid shell along with a VERY solid motor. It has a sticker by the door stating that the car was undercoated back in 1991 and it has been kept very clean by previous owners.Frame rust is minimal with only 1 small hole on passenger side and it is barely showing any on driver side. I have the paperwork from the engine depot that you will receive along with a folder of receipts I have for this car. The reason for sale is that I'm loosing my job or else I wouldn't even think about selling it because I'm very much in love with it but I have no other financial aid at the moment. I drive a 2005 civic as a daily driver and this is pretty much the fun car only driven to events and rarely. With all this being said the car is being sold AS-IS condition and please remember it is a drift car, not a luxury mobile. I will leave it up to you the ebayer to decide what it's worth. Thank you. I take care of the car better than I do myself, except for body but please see pics. It has passed many tech inspections at the track and is ready to drift! Bad: -could use an alignment but it's not too bad. -curve rash on wheels but not too bad. -passenger seat not bolted down. -minor exhaust leak. -is going to need a new starter in the near future. -passenger side is pretty ding/dented (see pics, I have another chuki bumper and a stock pignose bumper that will come with the car so you can install your choice of bumper.) -no a/c -rpm gauge does not function (you can fix this by getting a HUD from a 91-94 dual cam or simply installing a tachometer, again was planning to do this but in time) If you want to part out the car you can make some cash I just don't have the time to do so. The exhaust alone is $500 new and all parts are brand name. The engine is mostly stock and unmolested. Again I was planning on building it little by little but with my current situation I can no longer do this and must get rid of my fun car. If buy it now is used, I can give you a whole shed full of tires to burn and extra rims and anything else I have laying around for this car. 2 bomz racing seats and 2 tires already included if buy it now is not used. Answer to question: The red top SR20DET swap is a twin-cam supercharged engine producing 205 HP stock. This car is producing more due to minor upgrades but has not been taken through a dyno for me to prove that.
