Vehicle Detail
This is a 1963 Chevrolet. It's a half ton, two wheel drive, long bed. It has an inline six motor and a four speed manual transmission. The truck has been painted and distressed to look like a vintage Forest Service truck. It has rally wheels and good tires. The bed wood has been replaced and stained with an ebony color. The bed strips are new as well. I did some pinstriping on the hood and tailgate. The truck has a clean Utah title. The odometer says 95,000 however I believe there are more than that on this truck but the engine very well could have been rebuilt because it runs great. The body is pretty straight on this truck but it is far from perfect. It does have small rust through on the rear wheel lips about the size of a dime on each side. The cab corners have some tiny rust holes in them. The front of the hood has some rust in it as well and there are a couple tiny holes above the windshield but in the interior only and they have been filled with automotive expanding foam. I left the exterior rust because it really adds to the look of the truck and gives it a more authentic feel. I believe the front fenders have the typical rust on the rear section of them that had autobody filler spread across it at some point because there is some rust coloring showing through in a couple areas. The driver side bed side has been dented at some point and beat back out but not smoothed out with filler. Again, I left all this because it adds to the look and the feel. Overall this is a nice and sound truck that has won awards at every car show I have taken it to. I do use it as a daily driver to and from work each day and it has no mechanical issues that I know of. I believe it was lowered by heating up or cutting the coils. If anyone wants to come and drive it and test it out for themselves I am fine with that and actually would prefer that just so that you know exactly what you are getting but I understand if that is not practical for you. I cannot arrange any shipping methods for this truck. It is being sold as is where is .Shipping is the sole responsibility of the buyer. $2000.00 to be deposited into paypal at end of auction and full payment can be made by cashiers check but truck and title WILL NOT leave my posession until it has been deposited into my bank account and has cleared. I added pics of the rust as well as lots of other pics of the paint process to my hubgarage page if you care to see them. Go to www.hubgarage.com and type in andys pinstriping in the search and they are in the Forest Service truck folder. If you need to see any other detailed pics of the truck please let me know and I will post them there. Truck is also for sale locally so I reserve the right to end this auction early should it sale here. Thanks. I was asked if I would be willing to add more pinstriping to the truck if someone was to bid and win and the answer is yes. If you bid and win the truck I will add any striping that you want if you want it. Also, I may be willing to deliver the truck to Utah, Wyoming, Nevada, Colorado, Idaho for a fee. Was asked about reserve price...no reserve price. Auction starts at $4500.00 and if that price is met it's sold. Thanks
