My Silverwing is a very nice bike. Honda had sold the Silverwing Interstate for two years prior to 1983 in the 500cc version. In 1983 they increased the displacement to 673cc. This upgrade was just the ticket for a mid-sized touring motorcycle. Since it was sold only the one year, it is somewhat rare. I always get over 50 MPG on the bike. I have owned this motorcycle for 7 years now and have ridden it all around the midwest, through the Rocky Mountains and into Canada with no problems. There is plenty of storage for all my gear and plenty of power to run up any mountain pass. I was planning another long trip with the bike in a couple of weeks but I have now bought a BMW, so my pride and joy must go.... The bike has been mantained very well. Some of the main things replaced are: -Stator (alternator) -Rebuilt front brakes with stainless steel lines. -New fork seals recently. -Carbs cleaned. -Mono-shock linkeage cleaned and lubed (no in-famous Silverwing squeak). -K&N air filter. (just cleaned and re-oiled). -Iridium spark plugs. -New battery this spring. -Regular oil changes, maintenance, lubrication, etc. -Tires. The rear is newer and in good shape, front is nearing its limit. I was going to replace it before my planned trip. The bike has the Markland trunk relocation bracket and the rare Markland saddlebag guards. Of course there are some scratches but I'd say it shines pretty nice for a 27 year old motorcycle. I have the Honda Service Manual as well as a Clymers which I can include. For sale locally, use "Buy It Now" to seal the deal.
