Vehicle Detail
1975 Mercedes 240D, W115 body, with the hard to find 4 speed manual transmission and extra fuel tank in the trunk. Interior not bad but not perfect. It is a good 20 foot car but up close flaws can be seen. Looks good overall but the front seats, under the covers, are not in good condition. It has some cracks on the dash, under dash cover, and top of the door panels, by the window, where the sun hits it. It is pretty much all original with factory air (does not work) and the original Becker AM/FM Radio which does work fine. Exterior is okay but not perfect. Has some minor dings and dents and the paint is not shiny however it has no major rust and is solid. Engine runs excellent starts all winter long no problem. The Clutch, steering, etc. all excellent. Mechanically this car is in good shape with no play in the wheel or such issues. Tires are new and I just replaced the master cylinder, reservoir and rebuilt the rear brake calipers. I has an approximately 25 gallon extra diesel fuel tank in the trunk that feeds the main tank (total of about 40 gallons) all of which works as it should. When I fill it up I can go over 1100 miles before needing more diesel. This is not a perfect car but more of a daily driver and 35 years old. Looks good at 20 feet but when you get close you can see some flaws and wear. On the other side it is mechanically very strong, engine good and such. I drove it 150 miles a day last summer to work and had no issues except for the brakes which I just redid. I would not hesitate to take it on a road trip. This is perfect for a veggie oil car or as is. Feel free to drive it and look it over or ask any question. Corby Patrick Analyzing "Smart Counters" only @ inkFrog.com
