Vehicle Detail

1989 Honda PC800 Pacific Coast Motorcycle ***Low Mileage***Clean***1st Year Model*** No Reserve!!! Near Collectible Quality!!! Delivery Available! General: If you are reading this listing, you are probably already familiar with the PC800 and are aware that there is something about these bikes that is really special. I don't mean the cavernous trunk or the streamlined bodywork. I mean how they work: Roomy, great riding position, nimble, but very stable handling and above all QUIET. At highway speeds all you hear is the wind; at country-road speeds you hear the birds- I'm not kidding. I don't say this lightly: This bike runs like new and has obviously been very well maintained. There are a few cosmetic flaws, as shown in the photos, but with its custom pinstriping, it is still a very pretty PC800 Up for auction is a clean, well cared-for, low mileage 1989 Honda PC800 Pacific Coast, in its original Pearl White livery. If you are looking for an original, unmolested, low-mileage, 1st year Pacific Coast, this may be the bike for you. This motorcycle has obviously been well maintained and meticulously cared for throughout its life. It is equipped with Honda's torquey and low maintenance 800cc liquid-cooled V- twin engine, smooth shifting five speed transmission and shaft drive. However, what really makes this bike stand out is its unique flowing lines and its very practical integrated trunk. As you can see from the pictures, it looks great, and best of all, it is ready to ride. It needs NOTHING! This bike would be right at home in any collector's garage or would make any rider a great and unique ride. Mechanical Condition: Although this is not a new motorcycle, it is in excellent mechanical condition, and needs nothing but a new owner and a good home. It runs well throughout the RPM range and shifts very smoothly. All of the suspension components work well, and the brakes are smooth and very well-modulated. All of the lights, controls, and instruments work as they should. There are no leaks apparent anywhere and the engine does not smoke or use oil. It has just received a fresh oil and oil filter change, as well as a fresh battery. The rear tire is nearly new and the front tire is probably OK for the rest of this riding season, but will need to be replaced soon. I try to ride every motorcycle I sell at least 100 miles. I do this so that I know exactly what kind of a motorcycle I am selling, and what on the motorcycle needs to be repaired, replaced or adjusted. I put almost 250 miles on this bike while I have had it. Its combination of comfortable riding position, practical accomodations and great handling caused it to be my #1 choice for both short and long distance errands. The bike works fine: It feels solid and smooth, very much as I remember these bikes feeling when fresh from the showroom. The bike brings my 275 pounds to autobahn speeds smoothly, and back to a stop without any drama. Very nice. I have throroughly enjoyed this motorcycle! I wish I could keep it. Cosmetic condition: As you can see in the pictures, the bike presents itself very well cosmetically, and it is sure to get attention wherever it goes. Its chrome is excellent throughout. The original Pearl Pacific White and Ocean Grey Metallic paint scheme is in good condition for its age. The hand-painted pin stripe work really makes the bike stand out. However, there are a few scratches, chips and scuffs throughout the finish as you might expect on a 21 year old motorcycle. The worst is a poorly repaired scuff on the left side of the trunk lid; see photo. Most of the other flaws are also apparent in the photos, so look closely. The interior of the fairing has been repainted from its original grey color to a brownish color to complement the pinstripe scheme. The original seat is great shape. It features the matching OEM Honda Pasenger backrest. The original windshield has several scratches, but since the entire windshield is well below the rider's line of sight, they don't cause any problems. The original OEM Owner's Manual is with the bike and included with the sale. What appears to be the complete OEM Toolkit is also with the bike and included with the sale. Modifications: Other than the following items, this PC800 seems to be completely stock: -Original matching OEM Hondaline passenger backrest. -Aftermarket throttle lock device -Hand-painted pinstriping -Right mirror glass has been replaced with higher magnification glass -Battery operated digital clock on dash Terms- Please read: Please contact me with any questions you might have BEFORE making your bid.
