Vehicle Detail

This is a 95 Dodge Stealth Base. If you look up the vin you will notice that it has the R/T body but the base engine which leads me to believe this is one of the few Stealth ES models that were made in 95 but I cannot say with absolute certainty that that is what it is. With the split folding rear seats you can actually get quite a bit of stuff in the hatchback area. The Good A/C and heat work. Has Texas inspection stickers good through 01/11 I recently had Pepboys install a brand new suspension. The suspension only has 1200 miles on it. I had best Buys geek Squad install a CD player in place of the standard cassette player...who listens to cassettes now a days anyway? The CD player is a pioneer DEH-P5100UB it has MP3 capabilities and a USB port for charging your phone or listening to music from any device that can be plugged into a USB port. Windshield wipers are the kind that contour to the windshield. All oil changes have been done with Royal Purple oil since I like to spoil my cars. Because the engine is the base engine it insures at a sedan price in this area even though it has tons more power then a sedan. The Bad At some point in the past it had a oil leak which left oil splattered on the bottom of the engine which cause a burnt oil smell when the engine gets hot on summer days. I have had 2 different mechanics run dye tests and have been informed it isn't leaking the smell is just old oil. and can be fixed by steam cleaning the engine which I have no idea how to do. The passenger side mirror is very loose. I assume it just need tightening or something but I don't know I taped it into place with clear duct tape and it doing fine. The power mirror adjustment still works so it hasn't bothered me enough to fix it. The speedometer sometimes quits working. The mechanic says the speed sensors need cleaning another thing I don't know how to do. and since I can judge speed by tachometer reading I haven't bothered to fix it either. The key only unlocks the driver side door. The passenger door must be unlocked from inside the car. There are a few trim pieces that are broken around the driver side roof area. While there is a jack there is no spare tire. I bought it without one and never replaced it. Summary The car drives well and is a comfortable ride. It looks sporty but since it just has a regular V-6 as opposed to the turbo charged twin turbo version it still gets reasonable gas mileage. At highway speeds it seems to get around 26 mpg which isn't bad for such a sporty looking car. I love driving this car unfortunately it is no longer big enough for my family since sporty coupes just don't have the space a sedan does. It keeps sitting un-driven in the driveway and then when I want to drive it I have to fill the tires because they get low sitting for months at a time. I could see someone either buying this for a dependable sporty looking car or to soup up into the more powerful Twin Turbo version. The engine runs fine the belts and hoses are good. At some point you may need to replace a gasket or something since its 15 y/o and small stuff will probably wear out eventually but with the suspension having been replaced there is a lot of life left in this car.
