Up for auction is my buddies 1987 Pontiac Firebird (Trans Am GTA). He started this project around 2 years ago by first replacing the fenders and front bumper cover, they are brand new. The door and T-top weather stripping is also new. All the decals are NOS GM except the hood bird, that is eBay. The tires have about 400 miles on them. The paint is DuPont Black Sapphire Metallic and the clear is Southern Urethane. The factory 305 was replaced with a rebuilt 350 bored .030 over and has 64cc heads. It has a Edelbrock Performer Intake powder-coated, and a factory exhaust, however, the Cat has been hollowed out. It has a new exhaust from the cat back and Vette ZR1 chamber exhaust tips. T-tops are the nicer glass ones. The car has the factory sport suspension. It has a auto 700R4 and the mileage is correct. The interior needs some work, drivers seat will need to be recovered or replaced, an easy yard find. The steering column steers fine, but something is going on with the tilt mechanism, I would repair or replace it. The dash pad has some cracking on the drivers side, and carpet could use a scrubbing. I have all the interior trim for the car, and he even has the GM T-Top bag in the back. This is a real nice project, the paint and sheetmetal costs are higher than the asking price for the whole car.
