Vehicle Detail

This auction is for a 2003 BMW 540 sport, which includes the M kit. 2,185 540s made it to the U.S. for that model year, and only a fraction had the sport package. And only a fraction of those had this color combination. The car is in excellent condition for its age as you can see from the pictures. It currently has 86,xxx miles on it, and it will increase a bit due to this being my daily driver. Although I don't drive much since I commute on the train every day. By the time the auction is over I will have added 150 miles tops. I'll start with the negatives of the car. There is a chip on the windshield of car, which has been there since I bought the car two years ago. I have put approx. 10k miles on it and the it has remained the same. There is also a scratch on the left rear portion a-beam that was filled in with color match paint. Again, occured from previous owner. There is only one key to the car and the battery in it is dead and will need to be replaced by the dealer. The key still works as far as unlocking/locking the car and firing up the ignition, trunk, etc. Also, I still owe money on it and the title is held by US Bank. The winning bid will cover the amount owed. Once the I receive the winning amount the winner will take the car along with the bill of sale. I will pay off the loan and overnight the title to the winner. My last car sale with this situation took a total of approx. 10 business days (receiving the titel from the bank and overnighting that title to the new car owner). I know people are skeptical when this is involved. I sold my 2004 BMW 530 on here last summer and it took the 3rd winning bidder to finally pay because the previous two winning bidders backed out. I am an honest ebayer, as you can see from my feedback rating. Having said that, if you are worried or have any doubts PLEASE DO NOT BID. If you have not secured financing PLEASE DO NOT BID. If you'd like to speak in person or over the phone about anything please do not hesitate to send me a message and I will give my phone/address. You are also welcome to come see the car in person. Aside from the negatives above, I can't say enough about this car. The overall condition is impressive. It still turns heads and gets compliments for its looks, and is no slouch in the power/torque department under the hood. The only options I think it doesn't have is the park distance control, navigation, and ski bag. All wheels are in the same condition as the one you see in the picture - no curb rash. Check this site for more info on the car http://www.kenrockwell.com/bmw/540.htm. This guy did an extensive write-up on his and it's pretty informative. This is my fourth BMW I have owned, and I am admittedly obsessed with BMW. People who haven't owned or driven one can't understand. I take extremely good care of my vehicles and maintain them appropriately. Any service I had done on this car was done at Elmhurst BMW in Elmhurst, IL. Again, please feel free to contact me for more pics or information. I will respond as soon as possible. If you have negative or zero feedback DO NOT BID. If you aren't sure or are uncomfortable with the risk of doing transactions on eBay then DO NOT BID. Let's not waste each other's time.
