This car needs restoration to be brought back to it's original grandeur, but the canvas you have to work with is in great condition. Car is very dusty having been in storage but will clean up nicely. This California Mercedes Benz is virtually rust free, free of any major body damage, paint is actually in very very good condition for a car this age, interior is in very condition and will need very little to be road ready. The maroon/red interior is free of rips or tears in the seats, door panels are in good condition and dash is in good condition as well. Headliner will need to be replaced as it is ripped in two places, but that is an easy fix. This car features the original radio and all other features aside from a speaker seem to be original. I purchased this car to restore 4 years ago, but unfortunately I never got the money to do so, and now in this economy, I need the money and can no longer pay for the storage on this car. Thus, my great loss is your gain. I love the car. Very regal looking. The transmission is installed and in place but this car needs an engine. However, almost every other part to complete the car mechanically is in the trunk. The radiator, exhaust manifold, intake...all in the trunk. I tried to take the best picture possible without being able to move the car. In a nutshell, once you install an engine this car will be a running driving classic. I can even refer a company here that sells the engines for this car, the orginal year or you can upgrade it if you want more power or want to convert from a shift on the column transmission to an automatic. Pictures tell the story physically and I have done my best to disclose the condition of this car, but any questions, please don't hesitate to ask BEFORE you bid.
