I have for sale a 1979 Mustang official indy pace car. Car is sold as a project car with only prospective buyers being enthusiasts who have the time and knowledge to make it streetable! vehicle has a 5.0 engine 5-speed with the following modifications Tri-state Cyinderheads with 5 angle valve job, 1.94 in 1.54 exh weiand action plus intake manifold edelbrock 600cfm 4 barrel carb comp cams 500+ lift drag racing camshaft timing gear drive (noisy) MAC long tube headers MAC dual exhaust (not installed) Moroso oil Windage tray custom headlight covers Racing seats with 4 point harness Engine has been out of car recently and put back in cam has been broken in and driven >1 mile, however timing and tuning is off, starts and runs fine with some rocker arm noise (couldnt get the valve lash adjusted right, may need custom pushrods?) 5-speed manual transmission and new clutch Brake system needs to be looked at because it feels like there is a lot of air, but the brakes do work. Steering rag joint interferes with long tube header design (somehow) and will need to be modified in some way, will show you what I mean. bought as a project car and am going to college with no time nor money to finish it =( my loss is your gain, it is a verified pace car by vin. if vehicle is bought with buy it now, I will include 8 +.060 domed pistons as well, which should bump it up over 400HP
