This is a 1976 AMC Pacer X. I found this car for sale on the side of the road in Austin, TX. I bought it with the thought of a total restoration, but I have realized that I have too many projects and not enough time. The bad points about this car is that it was sitting for years before I got it. It needs a brake job, a new water pump, and probably more work to make it road ready. Some of the plastic interior pieces are cracked inside. It needs new carpet and the headliner is sagging. It shows rust around the license plate, which is common to these cars. It also has some rust on the leading edge of the hood. The front windshield has a big hole in it. Other than that, the body is really clean. I bought this car from a wrecker company and they did not provide a title. I will supply a bill of sale, but no title. The good points about this car is that it has original paint, the seats are in excellent condition, the engine runs fine, and the transmission seem to work perfectly. It has 52K original miles. ( I cannot verify this, but the overall condition of the car seam to verify this). I flushed the gas tank and it has enough brakes to get it on a trailer. It has original air conditioning, disc brakes, sport bucket seats, two tone paint, rear wiper, original mag wheels, and the Pacer X scheme.
