Up for sale is a 1974 Spitfire 1500 refurbished barn fine, with 4 cyl. and overdrive. Overdrive is a single rail 4 speed with J type O/D, from a 76 Parts car. Engine is orignal with 145-155 compression, ( cold reading) Crane electronic ignition, weber carb. (with pressure regular) new plugs and wires. New drive shaft and differential u-joints. Rear left spring rebuilt. Floor pan was replaced by previous owner. I sound proofed floor,firewall and transmission cover. ( What a difference. ) New carpets. Soft top is in good condition, hard top has all new seals , (including back glass) and new headliner with sound proofing. Body had only miner surface rust, which was treated and sealed. Frame had rust behind rear axle, which was reinforced stronger than orignal. Side glass waist seals, door seals, side light marker and tail light seal replaced. All lights, gages, switches, heater and wipers are working, radio in trunk ( not installed). Tires are old, but servicable for around town, (would not recommend any high speed runs). Car was red, but painted back to original yellow. This is not a show car, but still a head turner. Buyer will pay all shipping cost.
